No thread for this yet by the looks of it, and I would prefer to use the John Teti given moniker for the game.

I for one am looking forward to it just so my 3DS can get some use. It's due late August in the US so hopefully the UK release won't be too far behind.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

I think it's confirmed for 17th August in Europe (both boxed and DD versions).

Looking forward to it, even without the silly coin aspect it's bound to be a solid 2D Mario. Though of course I'm hoping it'll be more than that, and that the coin stuff will have some interesting uses in the game.

Its a bit tricky to navigate but there are lots of pics and videos which seem to be a higher framerate then usual

originally, Not actually keen on this. Mario gone banker crazy ha!

But i'm not sure if its coin rush or the main mode, but you only get one life, with street pass high scores it could get quite addictive. will have to wait and see.

I think Nintendo have been really clever with this. Everyone knows shiny syndrome (buying something because it is new and shiny) well my shiny meter is off the scale with all this gold. Also I love competition so a mario with competitive mode will have me coming back constantly something 3d land no matter how awesome just couldn't do after I five starred it

It looks good, but it's hard to be massively excited about this. I've quite literally played the last two games to death and it'll not come close to Super Mario 3D Land, which is far more deserving of a sequel. I'll inevitably pick it up at some point, but it's definitely not top of my shopping list.

How are people going to go about purchasing this one, anyway? If I can get a physical copy of something, i'm more likely to get the physical copy.

Digital all day, physical copies can do one.

Digital. I rarely trade games in and I would prefer to carry around as few cartridges as possible.

Digital copies will probably end up costing a lot more than physical ones, though.

Perhaps it wont be the case with first party games, but I can imagine the physical releases of 3rd party titles will quickly become the cheaper option.

Physical is good, because it means they can't take the game away from you when you switch consoles etc., but the ambassador games have sold me the convenience of having multiple games on hand without having to muck about with carts.

Mind you, as I've still been unable to find shop cards and am being stubborn in refusing to use my credit card, I've no choice buy physical.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Nintendo plan on selling cards for digital games shops and retailers can set their price like with boxed copies. It should make them cheaper considering its just a code on a piece of plastic and its less risk to stock but it probably won't.

I wonder if that Cannon bit is a level where you can't stop running like Canabalt.

How odd would it be if they had a level or world in Mario where you had to run from the right to the left

Glad to see that the challenge is being ramped up in this one, I've found most recent Mario games to be a bit too easy.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.
