I can't even score in career mode, well the odd 1-0 or 1-1 games but its hard

    And that's on professional

Hmmmm I am not feeling this game at all. Maybe I just played too much FIFA 12, but I just can't find any love for it.

Its too fast and I keep scoring the same goal over and over.
This is what I am finding :(

    Gonna get pes next week

Bit soon? Only been out a couple of days, though I think you need to play pro evo as well, totally different games but both good

Having not played a FIFA since 11, this feels incredibly floaty. However, I do need to learn the controls though as they have changed quite drastically since then, so early days and all that.

After a couple of days solid play - I also think the game is too fast and a bit floaty. Just to be sure, I went back to FIFA 12, and it is slower and has a greater sense of weight about it.

Tbh, this has kinda ruined FIFA 13 for me. I like the improved physics and teammate AI, but I prefer a more measured tempo in my football games.

Unless EA can patch-fix it, reckoh I'll go back to 12. As much as I like PES 2013's slower pace, I'm not sold on its stilted, robotic feel.

Had a good play of this tonight, and I really did not like it at all. The controls don't feel as tight or responsive as before. The passing is so inconsistent in terms of pace and direction and it makes the gameplay so unpredictable and not smooth at all. It just feels a lot more arcadey than simulation.

We did a season thing with Arsenal, and did about 5 matches, and in every single match at least one of our players pulled up with an injury. I know we don't have a great record with injuries but that's just taking this piss.

Overall massive step back from FIFA 10/11/12 which were all pretty good games.

    Lol harsh.

Well my intention was always to get both games, I just wasn't expecting to want PES so soon

Am sure I'll come back to FIFA eventually.

No mine are all bundled through the middle.

Although I did score one of those with Walcott in an exhibition match, thought it was a pretty realistic Walcott finish!

Miles better than 12 for me, you can actually beat a man on Pro without the CPU telepathically reading your every move.

It is a bit 'MOTD highlights' - it's fast and furious but I love it. Who wants two halves of boring midfield play?

    I'll second that.

    Ultimately it's FUN.

How do you cross the ball without it leaving your foot at 900mph??

There's not much you can do when they have the ball besides spamming L T and stopping their runs , but it's still very possible to control the tempo when you are in possession.

Was really struggling in career mode on legendary. Lost at least 5 in a row, and then something clicked and I started winning again. Moving up the table fast with enough games to get into a promotion position (and save my job).

I hope they do patch it but I reeeally hope it will not force me to start a new career mode for the changes to apply.

I'm torn. I love the improved physics and the sandbox-y nature of FIFA 13. It feels really good to play - dynamic, fluid, varied and alive.

But it's just a little too zippy for my liking - everything from passes along the ground, to crosses in the air, to keeper throw-outs.

If the game speed was a bit more measured - like FIFA 12 - then I would be unequivocal in saying that this is the best footie game to-date.

As-is - I still kinda think that in some ways.. But the rapid pace takes the shine off it somewhat for me.

I hope EA can/will patch it, so I can enjoy it as much as I think I could.

I like the fact that you can now finally use pacey players who actually get away from people instead of defenders magically catching up attackers.

I'm all for pacey players being more effective, but the entire thing feels like it is on skates at times!

I'm really confuddled which footie game to make The One this year. I prefer FIFA 13's general gameplay to FIFA 12 and PES 13. I prefer FIFA 12 and PES 13's gameplay speed to FIFA 13. I prefer FIFA 12's general gameplay and physics to PES 13, but the latter is something a bit different after playing FIFA the last 5 years. They all have their pro's and con's, aargh!

If only FIFA 13 had the same pace as 12, then it would be a no-brainer..

Got to say, I've not noticed a problem with the speed of the game. Seems the same to me.

I love FIFA 13, some nice improvements on FIFA 12 (and I played a lot of 12). No issues with speed of the game for me either (I always turn the game speed slider to slow anyway).

The first touch takes some getting used to, but I'm loving the flow, and hustle, of this game.

I'm playing on the 360. You PS3? Dunno if that would make any difference..

Going from 13 to 12 and I definitely notice the difference. 13 is very end-to-end, well online anyway. 12 seemed to be played in midfield a bit more.

I did the play the PS3 version in-store and I did think the pace had slowed from the (360) demo.

Guess that's why initially I was happy with it (360 version) once I got home. But as the games went by, I gradually started to feel things were actually moving at a more rapid click than I remembered from 12..

I think it's too fast but lowering it to slow and zooming out the camera seems to help a little, that's before doing anything on the acceleration and pass speed sliders

Is it me, or are the graphics on this starting to look really, really dated?

The kits and the player lettering are particularly shit.

    Hated, adored, never ignored.

Having had a couple of really fast matches, I set the speed to slow and it is much better.
