This video is starting to spread like wildfire, with more and more fans helping the cause. But even if your not a Timesplitters fan, it'd be great to support anyway to bring something new to the genre other than the generic military shooter. So please support this, follow, like and spread the word!

And how can the video be spreading like wildfire when it was uploaded 38 minutes ago?

To be quite honest, Timesplitters was shit in SP, and whilst it was good fun in MP, it never beat the 'feel' of Goldeneye or PD for me.

    Still liked it mind.

Whilst the dominance of CoD is dull, I do think there is an overemphasis on 'EVERY' game being like it. That's patently untrue.

Problem with Timesplitters is that it was never really that good. It's one of those series that got a bit of a cult following because it had jolly old British humour and a slight bit of Goldeneye pedigree.

Not at all! It got the following it deserved because of the mental multiplayer and it's ridiculously long lifespan. The Map Maker, the ridiculous game speeds, the Flame Tag and Virus modes, the Assault mode, Co-op Story mode, behead the undead, capture the flag, the insane number of stats, characters and maps. Not to mention the genuinely 'hard' Hard Mode for the Story Mode. This game had so much depth and so much more to offer than any other FPS of the generation. At least on the home consoles.

I have so many great memories of those games. I must have put in a good thousand hours, combined, into those three games. TS2 is right up there as one of my all-time favourites.

Agreed. Timesplitters 2 was amazing value.

You got a huge amount of game for your money, with all the challenge modes, all the different time periods and weapons, and then multiplayer on top. It was nigh on endless.

It was obviously very 'arcadey' which isn't everyone's cup of tea but it always had a proper solid feel to it which is impressive given the amount of stuff they packed in there.

I miss Timesplitters 2. Bought it when I bought my Gamecube back in 2003, and played it all the time.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

TimeSplitters was a really fun game, I do agree with that much. Very much a product of its time though. I've played TimeSplitters 2 recently and I can't get on with aiming anymore, but I did plough a ton of hours in to the first two games on PS2. Second Sight was the best game Free Radical made imo.

Timesplitters was shit, but had a compelling multiplayer, just like Goldeneye.

It doesn't make TS2 flawless. Far from it.

Timesplitters was alright in multiplayer but mostly because most stuff is at least somewhat fun in local multiplayer because you're in a room with your buddies playing it and having a laugh.

The single player was fairly shite though.
  • Deleted user 6 May 2012 01:22:20
Like almost every FPS ever, I can count on one hand how many FPS game I've bought for single player.

    Doom
    Doom 2
    Duke Nukem 3D
    Half Life + expansions
    Half Life 2 + expansions

Have I already mentioned that I don't really like the Half-Life games? I've completed them both, but trying to replay them felt like a chore. Every time I made progress i'd get to a part I remember hating, over and over again.

TS2's single player was great, one of the best. It was just the campaign/story mode which was underwhelming - the arcade stuff was where it was at.
