Registered 10 years agoCrytek have very specifically said (much in the vein of DE2: Human Revolution) that level design is carefully constructed to allow multiple styles of play. There was a recent video illustrating as such.
Whether that pans out or not, I'm not sure I really care. As long as the combat is solid, I'll be more than happy filling things with lead in an extraordinarily realised environment. I just hope it's not the same godawful compromise that Crysis 2 ended up as.
I think my 4 year old gaming PC's days are numbered though. Bar the GPU, I think it's upgrade time!!VR Guff: www.roadtovr.com (NEW site now live!)

I hope so. The thing about big toy boxes of techniques is that there often is the most efficient way of doing things. In Crysis that was a case of camo and examining grass textures. I was actually glad when the aliens turned up as it completely nullified that. -

About CRYSIS 2, i don't find it bad actually, it's quite good, the overall argument that everybody has for Crysis 2 over the first, is the open-world and the ability to swim with sharks...etc and all kinds of crazy stuff, but how does this affect the game anyway? Honestly i really enjoyed it despite of the fact that most of the stuff that i had in CRYSIS 1 were gone.
If you play CRYSIS 2 with every graphical option pushed to the max, and have all these ideas outta your head, i'm sure everybody will enjoy it.gif)

Registered 7 years agoI'm guessing/hoping it just comes up on live as demo. Theres no talk on codes or being exclusive to anyone. Haven a feeling that's what Crysis 2's was too.

Registered 7 years agoJust played hunter mode on airport. Level is gorgeous (on 360), well designed. What I loved about Crysis 2 is the amount of routes and possibilities in a level and this seems to follow suit. Controls as well as it ever did. I can see the actual mode being really good fun, especially with mates. It's tense as. As the hunter gets closer your radar starts beeping faster and you go in to mass panic (or I do).

That was much better than Crysis 2 mp.
However I'd prefer a slower paced Hunter mode. The two mins is up super quick and you don't get time for that feeling of panic as it's over so fast.
I was hoping it would be more like the Predator mode from the old far cry games.

Registered 7 years ago@Scurrminator yeah agree with this having played it some more. Hoping for a slowed down version of it. Would also like to beable to take the CEL soldiers off the radar or at least only see them on it when they moved or as I got closer to them. -

There some terrible European players on there at the mo. -
