Registered 3 years agoSo, if we download, play single player, then talk about strategy, that'll kind of be less intrusive multiplayer. -

No, I have some old PSO friends who I play with when I can.
Is that what you've been doing on the PC version then?
Incidentally, you could set yourself up as an NPC (like the old Partner Card) system, and play with virtual copies of your friends even when doing single player.
Unlike previous AI, these are highly customisable and proficient enough, you can't easily tell (bar the chit chat) that they're not real! -

Registered 2 years agoPhantasy Star Online 2 will be released (in Japan) in February for free, but there will be the option of buying premium editions. I think my thoughts on this largely boil down to 'WANT'.

I'd still quite like them to get around to making Phantasy Star Portable 2 compatible with the Vita. -

It's already out, or am I going insane? You can also buy your premium stuff, but need Japanese CC details (address, etc).

* and then I reread your post, and realised you're probably talking Vita, sorry! *
It's really quite brilliant, as previously stated, but will benefit from full translation.
I'm fairly sure both Vita and Mobile versions are also nailed on certainties.

'Special Package' version pre-ordered from Play-Asia (£40). Here's hoping I can just use my existing Sega ID! :-/

Registered 8 years agoLooks great. I'd be surprised if it's even out in Europe by this time next year. Has it even been confirmed for a Western release? At least if it got a US release we could import it..
With the current state of the Vita, I could easily see them not bothering to release it over here. -

Or import the Japanese card, if you're slightly obsessed, like me! Roll on 28th!

A video I've seen on YouTube suggests you just sign in with your Sega ID, and away you go (with your PC character, if you have one). Colour me excited. -

So, I have it, and only needed to sign in with my Sega ID to continue with my existing character.
You'll obviously need a JP PSN account if you want to download it from the store.
It's pretty much the PC version, just smaller! Really pleased with it. -
