Can anyone tell me whether it's worth getting Killzone on this? I like it at the lowered price but not sure whether to go for it or not?

Killzone on PSP is definitely worth the 3-odd, if it's on sale. Great little game, but it seemed to get hard really quickly from what I remember, had some nasty difficulty spikes early on.

Right, well thank you for that! Definitely tempted to get it at the low price. Also tempted by Resistance as well.

So Jak & Daxter. Initial thoughts, looks lovely and colourful albeit with jaggy visuals. Though the filter/colour options on the Vita alleviate this somewhat. Controls well and you can map the camera to the 2nd analogue - nice. Seems like it's going to be a meaty adventure, only an hour in so far.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

I've only played a short section and it does seem very good - the flight controls are excellent, I normally hate flying in a 3D space but they have managed to make it very fun indeed. Recommended.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what PSP titles are in the next part of the sale. It's a real shame that they weren't a sign of games to be revealed at e3 as some of us hoped though! :(

Late to the CFW party, but blimey this PSP Go is a bit good! So far, Spectrum and GBA emulators both running without hitch and play superbly on it.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

MGS & Peace Walker are also on sale. Might have to get PW now. Should work with the second stick right?

Also how is Trails, is it more SRPG than RPG?

If I didn't have an Xperia Play I'd snap up the Mega Drive collection in a heartbeat - some excellent games on that.

Otherwise though, it's a bit disappointing for me this time. I was hoping for Manhunt 2 and NIS America games to be reduced. I would have bought nearly all of NIS' PSP catalogue at 3 or under. PSP has some really fantastic games and I suspect that the ones chosen were selling poorly, the opposite of last week's PSP sale.

That said last weeks was good enough for me to be happy overall!

I'm tempted on MGS but is it going to be any good with no nostalgia value? I'm worried the control set up will be perplexing and awful like every other MGS game.

It is. But actually, when you start playing it, the controls you get used to and the graphics (well, the animation and lighting) are both still excellent.

Played MGS for the first time about a month ago. I felt the controls were actually pretty good as the move set is more restrictive than later games.

Graphics are functional but nothing more. They are certainly good enough not to cause any gameplay issues.

The sound is excellent through out.

Story and general gameplay are also excellent. Think I gave it 8/10 in my mini review in the recently completed games thread.

    Edit: Probably 4 months ago.

The Mega Drive Collection was worth the full price, never mind half that. Some ageless classics on there.

Wish they'd release the EA Collection, too.

Downloading MGS. Might try and smash through them before the new one comes out.

@H1ggyLTD The EA Collection is a travesty if only for the reason that the original music from Road Rash (and RR2 IIRC) is not present :(

    I didn't realise that. Why's that?

Was all about Desert Strike, anyway.

Been waiting months for Peace Walker to drop and now it has I'm not sure I want it.

    Bought Gungnir though.

Peace Walker is very time-consuming though that's not necessarily a bad thing. What's Gungnir, never heard of that. A JRPG?
    /too lazy to google
EDIT: Just googled it. Er, nope. No time for that kind of gameplay.

I was going to pick up Gungnir but the reviews made it sound like more effort than it was worth. I grabbed Growslander as something to start when I'm done with Trails in the sky. TitS has to rank as one of the best original games on the PSP along with Joan d'arc, I really hope the other parts of the trilogy see the light of day in the west.
