I was asked this one the other day, nearly got it but couldn't quite finish it. Not strictly a "Kevin Bacon" as using two other actors with a modifier.

Michael Cera to Al Pacino only using women.

For men its a simple two step affair

    Al Pacino
    Ocean's Thirteen (2007)
    George Clooney
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002)
    Michael Cera

    Easy.

I used to do something similar to this when choosing what film to watch next - it needed to share an actor with my last film.

Got into some real dead ends.

Nice. Best I could manage was:
Buster Keaton -> Phil Silvers (A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum)
Phil Silvers -> Steve Martin (Role: Sgt. Bilko - allowed?)
Steve Martin -> Kevin Bacon (Planes Trains and Automobiles)

Mind you, apparently Phil Silvers never played Bilko on the silver screen. Oh well.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

I think we should make this harder by starting with foreign actors / actresses.

    My suggestions are:

    Min-Sik Choi (Oldboy lead)
Shilpa Shetty (Bollywood / Big Brother)

Both are pretty prolific in their fields so they are not particularly obscure.

I think I've just spotted a way to use The Oracle of Bacon in this thread...

For those of you who want the perfect score, the above link can be made with 3 films

Thought I'd bump this, as Bacon was getting a bit of love in the underrated actor's thread.

    Shia Labeouf

Go! No cheating! Looking up films is allowed, but no oracles!

    Or:

    Shia > David Morse (Disturbia)
Morse > William Fichtner (Drive Angry)
Fichtner > Jay Mohr - (Go)
Mohr > The Baconmeister (Picture Perfect)

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.
