So that thing where you all combo attack together in combat... Why does it ask if you want to do it? Why would you ever pick no?
If all the monsters are down, and you don't kill them immediately on an all-out attack, they'll be standing after the attack. That said, I can't remember if a turn is wasted getting up...

Am I being dumb if I drop P3P (about 18 hours in) and move onto this. I love P3P but I'm a bit burnt out on it.

Is this good enough to rekindle the Persona flame? Is it that much better than P3P?

@ZizouFC P3P is more menu based in it's exploration of the town. P4G is Persona 4 on a portable so you get to explore the town a lot more.

You also get to watch the cutscenes (P3P doesn't have them - as far as I'm aware)

Not one bloody shop in Eastbourne is selling this. Fucks sake.

    Shopto it is then.

There is just no point in them.
I did debate it. However, I had some shopto credit so my physical copy cost me 26, saving me 9 on the download version.

More importantly though, thanks to PS+ my vita memory card is full. :)

    Few more questions :

Does only your equipped persona get xp?
Why do people complain about getting tired in dungeons? Is it the TV world causing it and do I need to do something about it?
Is it weird to love the slime persona?
Still don't understand how I can play a fight 'well' to improve chances of cards

Yes, unless it has an ability that gives it XP when unequipped.
They're low on health. In P3 they got tired after a long session, here it seems to be just low health.
    Yes.
Shuffle time is random, but more likely after a combo attack ends the fight.

Last one... Does raising attack for an ally increase all damage they do or only physical attacks with their equipped weapon?

About 3 hours in and really enjoying it so far. Looking forward to things opening up a bit more.

Unless you have more than one vita and want to use different accounts on each of course.

I'd rather have one copy to pass around than cough up 105 quid thanks!

And I paid 31 quid for a physical copy instead of the 35 the store is asking, add on top the extra memory cards I'd be inclined to get.

I like having the online store, but I'll take a cheaper cart any day of the week.

and after an hour of grinding and beating a boss in the TV world I remember what annoyed me about P4 on the PS2. Enemy advantage, 3 enemies who hit my MC's weakness and ended up killing me.
After playing through P3P with ease I forgot that these games can be pretty hard if you get unlucky

    @Gregolution

Do you mean with a spell like Tarukaja? That raises all damage that the character does, with weapons or Persona.

Does anyone know if this game is stocked physically in a bricks and mortar establishment anywhere in Berkshire ?

I am loathe to buy digitally.. I like my collection too much and I'd much rather buy a copy to hold in my hand (and save my space on my storage card).

I am fed up with the (few) game shops that remain on the high street stocking:
    a) Skylanders
    b) FPS
    c) Skylanders

Its the same story with Ni No Kuni - pretty much mail order only.

    Any help out there?

    Dom

I just started this and it is brilliant. I can see it getting its hooks into me like P3P did, although I intend on actually finishing this one (I do plan on getting back to P3P though).

Only complaint so far is the comical running speed :)

Just a little additional comment to add RE: Shuffle Time-you can guarantee that you'll get it next battle if you use all the cards in the hand. You can get a nice chain effect going if you're prepared to be canny.

As above, I tried Game, Blockbuster, hmv, Asda, Argos, Tesco and the closest thing we have to an Indy in Eastbourne. No luck.

Ended up ordering it from Shopto.

Why so keen on retail? Retail is dead mate, order from shopto, next day delivery. Problem solved

Very hard to find in Belgium also. Just wondering if I should buy it. Already have it on my PS2....

    First post btw.

Not to old, but nevertheless old and bold.

I'm so confused by this game and I'm 17 hours in. This is the first jrpg that really grabbed me.

I guess I'm worried I'm not doing the right things though. There's so many things to spend my time on, I'm not sure how you work out what should take priority?

I felt the same way with Persona 3 and got a bit obsessive with making sure I went about things perfectly, and it hurt the experience overall. Obviously you don't want to mess up and be under-powered but that's what grinding is for.

    Just play your own way.

Grinding? Where can you grind? When I first got the 4 th group member they suggested going into the TV to practice but I didn't go. Is that the sort of grinding you mean?
I hate grinding but this game doesn't seem to have any...

You can go back into the levels of characters you've rescued to grind, by speaking to them in the TV world main area. I'm in a huge story chunk at the moment, and all I want to do is grind!

I didn't even realise I could do that! Fancy getting a few new persona....

This game is very very good.

I need to tend to my vegetable patch though haha. Brilliant

I'm about 5 hours in and still don't know totally what's happening during combat or how it could be game over if I don't rescue someone when it's foggy.
