So, basically, am I too late? Is it likely for an iPhone 5 to come around the corner soon, or should I suck the £600 and just buy one?
Buying an iPhone 4 at this point.

Registered 5 years agoI have recently had my phone, and my iPod touch stolen from me. The logical conclusion therefore would be to purchase an iPhone as I was very happy with my iPod touch, and not so pleased with my Blackberry Storm. So, is it a good idea to buy an iPhone 4 now? I really would like an apple product due to my iPod touch's library being stored on my iTunes and I really appreciated how good the iPod was at playing my music.

Seems a bit of an oxymoron -

Registered 3 years agoDunno, Samsung have had their backs up against the wall since the Sensation was released. The rep at work literally can't give them away.
Most of the nerds seem to want to tell me about some sort of dual processor and something about a Gingerbread man, but I normally tune out long before then. -

Buy a second hand 3GS instead. It actually works as a phone unlike the 4---------------------------------------------------------

Registered 6 years agoIf you really want an iphone, then sure go for it, it's a solid piece of kit and there's no concrete release date on the iphone 5 yet afaik.
However, if you want the best phone available then go for the Galaxy S2, as it is, well, a lot better, and a lot more future proof what with its dual cores and all.
As for S2 vs Sensation, well i've not tried the Sensation so i can't say for sure, specs are almost identical so it probably comes down to whether you prefer Sense or Touchwiz. That said almost all the professional reviews give the edge to the S2, ranking it as the best phone on the planet right now. -

Either way, I've had no problems with my iPhone4, though I could just be lucky. Personally, I wouldn't trade it for any of the other models out there for reasons in the OP. I like that i have everything in iTunes and with iOS5 and the cloud storage it's only going to be more convenient to have multiple Apple/iTunes enabled devices, if you're that way inclined. -

I guess it depends how long you're willing to wait. -

A flaw that's also present in the previous models but it's easier to pinpoint on the iPhone 4.---------------------------------------------------------

I'm sorry if your going to slag off something atleast do it in a way that makes sense. I've had my GS2 for two weeks and it's extreamly sturdy. It my not be heavy enough to bludgen somebody to death with it but it's far from fragile.
I cold have stared the Galaxy S2 i played with into piece it was that fragile. Plus the ability to record high quality vid but with no mini HDMI out ala LG Optimus? You're having a laugh!
The iphone 4 is by no means a crap phone, it is however now about a year old and getting replaced soon. The thought of giving Steve Jobs £600 for a year old phone when there is a new one just around the corner, and phones that are massivley more powerfull for £100 less makes me feel a bit sick.
IMHO you'd be batshit mental to spend £600 on one.
