Why would you need to play it to have an opinion on it?

To be fair, the queue was massive and you had to either queue for ZombieU or the other stuff. Annoyed at the small amount of WiiU considering how many PC stations were set up by the other exhibitors.

I think he wrote this article

"The Wii U should also get a mention. The tablet looking device is interesting for ten minutes, but the novelty quickly wears off. Sadly I feel that despite it being a good little idea, put bluntly, it’s nothing more than a gimmick and something you’d use once or twice after purchasing it."

Everyone who has actually used the pad has commented in how light, comfortable and ergonomic it is.

However, they don't have the knowledge that TheFourteen gained due to the glimpse of it he got so I'm going to disregard them and be certain that its uncomfortable, heavy, tiring and pointless and firebomb Iwata's house.

This could be damaging for Nintendo as the Sun newspaper influenced people in the UK to…

    New video for Metroid Blast
    http://www.gameinformer.com/games/nintendo_land/b/wii_u/archive/2012/10/01/metroid-deep-space-shootout.aspx
You have to watch it twice to see whats going on in both screens.
looks like the TV is 60fps and the gamepad is 30

Yeah, from what I gather this is the case. A few podcasts I've listened to have mentioned how they experienced zero lag compared to the tv on the controller, though I'm sure that depends on the game. (weekend confirmed for cod-blops 2 from what I remember was being discussed.)

The reports from people who have played that metroid game make it sound better then it looks and Nintendo are great at finding the right balance between accessibility and fun. It looks like a good stepping stone in getting someone to play a multiplayer shooter.

I have small hands, so will the gamepad be uncomfortable for me? I'll be a bit annoyed if it is, but on the plus side, having small hands makes my penis seem bigger than it really is.

Granted it is Nintendo so there are proabably some good things in NintendoLand BUT lest we forget; it's a fucking mini game compilation.

The single worst thing about the Wii (mini game collections) is one of Nintendos key offerings at launch.

Yes I've not played it but it seems very unlikely it will be anything more than a brief distraction.

One of the best and worst things tbf. There were some really excellent party games, and a lot of really naff ones.

I think Nintendo Land is a tech demo for developers as much as it is consumers. It exists to show off some of the potential of the console. Unfortunately, developers couldn't see that with Wii Sports. They saw a bundle of simple games and that was it, so what we got from many of them were a load of poor mini-game collections.

I've used it and it is indeed light, comfortable and ergonomic. You need to get down the gym from the sounds of it.

I don’t think that Nintendo Land is just a compilation of mini games. Reports suggest that some of the 12 or so games are actually pretty deep and could be classed as a title in their own right. Personally I look at Nintendo Land as a Wii Sports/Wii Play clone to familiarise gamers with the Gamepad controls and asymmetric gameplay.

There is nothing wrong with well implemented mini games; I would love to see a Mario Party Mini Game compilation, 50 of the best multiplayer mini games from the series.

I played the animal crossing Nintendo Land game, the girl demonstrating lost me in the 1-2 minutes it took her to explain what was going on. The same with the Luigis Mansion variant. Ok I will get these games in no time at all but the point is the casual gamer will not. What made Wii Sports so great is anyone could pick up and play it. Everyone could also relate to all games in it. Nintendo Land will have a hard time doing that. It really should have been Wii Sports 2!

It may have been because it was tethered, so ill give you that one but comfortable and ergonomic it is not.

But thanks for your health concerns, man with the most ornate made up Japanese name on the Internet.

@NOSAVIOUR I noticed that with a lot of Nintendo Land hands-on demo videos; where the demonstrator took an age explaining the gaming physics to players, while Wii Sports was a case of “You move your arm to simulate you’re throwing a bowling ball” and that’s all you need to know.

I loved the Wii U at the Expo, but think its a serious fuck up on their part, I can't see this Christmas being as great as the original Wii's with my family. A Wii motion plus wouldn't have gone amiss in the premium box either.

I've still not played the first, to be honest. I've heard great things, but it didn't really appeal to me at the time. Will have to download a demo and find out, sometime.
