You're not helping yourself here. BASK. It's BASK in the glory. Basque is an area of France and Spain.
I meant basque because that's where my uber bucks are taking me later this year to a 5* retreat in the mountains.

Erm, why do they need this? Aren't they releasing it pretty much now?
Apparently its a famous Japanese comedian/director called Hitoshi Matsumoto talking to Miyamoto whilst they play the game, probably just a bit of promotion more then anything.
I have no idea what they're saying, but it's quite amusing.

Well you've got July 26th on the official site, but no guaranteed because they're Nintendo.

It's all in Japanese. No idea about release dates.

Looks lovely. Sounds lovely. All very familiar though.

Some sort of high score/challenge mode showing. Looks fun. Whole thing looks right up my street really. I'm going to have to stop watching.

I think it's finally safe to say that this is a dead system now. There'll be 5 or so Nintendo games this year and judging by the amount of time it's taking them to upscale Windwaker there'll be 4 or 5 released in 2017.

The EA autopsy on the front page has, unsurprisingly, been greeted with a lot of 'good, I never wanted EA games anyway' comments.

Baffling, that. Do we really need to handhold people through the 'EA games for the WiiU = people buying a WiiU for EA games = more WiiU sales = more developer interest = more of the games they want being made for the system' thing?

It's not that baffling really. It's like someone who has been dumped saying 'well, she was ugly anyway'. Just their way of dealing with rejection

Whilst I can't people buying the console specifically for EA games (although I can see the lack of them putting people off, such as no FIFA), having more games in general would definitely be a good thing, and EA would be a great start, even if it was just versions of multi-format stuff. I wouldn't say no to the (allegedly) near finished Crysis 3 port.

People who put that amount of emotional investment into a games console they buy need to take a step back.

Most EA games are abysmal even on the PS3 and 360 in relation to framerates, so I tend to play them on the PC where they shine a bit better. Mass Effect 3 ran like a one legged dog on the PS3.

So to me on a personal level, it's no real loss for the following reasons:

    1. I hardly play any EA games
    2. When I do, I play them on the PC

However, it remains a huge issue for Nintendo as a whole and the knock on effect will eventually trickle down to me later on, with fewer games in general being released and an overall lack of support for the console.

I just can't do the whole doom and gloom thing though. Whatever will be, will be etc.

In the meantime, I'll get to play whatever first party games do drip down on to the console, which is really what I bought it for anyway.

Just gotta be pragmatic about the whole thing. Stinky thread is stinked up by a lot idiotic nonsense really, with people arguing the same thing over and over in circles. In fact, I'm pretty sure I posted this before, so even I'm doing it :)

I can't see that I would by many EA games, but more games has to be better for everyone.
I have never taken much notice of publishers, if it's a good game I'll buy it, if not, no thanks.
The wii might have had a ton of shovelware, but at least when you walk in a game shop it catches your attention. Wii U isn't a great proposition for someone who doesn't really know what they are buying at the minute.
With more shelf space it becomes more attractive to 'casuals' even if the quality of the games isn't there.

I went into Game yesterday and saw some Wii U games on the shelf. I thought "So that's what the Wii U boxes look like".

Then I realised up until that point I had never seen a Wii U game in "the wild". That made me kinda sad.
