Registered 6 years agoSo had some friends over last night - I'd say light gamers (have consoles but wouldn't have ever visited a game forum say) none of them really knew what a Wii U was, is it just a new controller? was the general consensus.
Anyhow after coaxing them onto 5 player nintendoland both couples want a wii U for Xmas... Mario chase and luigis mansion simple tho they may be are brilliant with a full house. Being chased by four people with 3 seconds to go on Mario is incredibly tense and fun, hearing all four of them shout as they try and track you is great - anyway played those games alone for about four hours and loved them just discovered the joy of animal crossing when time ran out (having to "shit out your sweets to survive" is not the family friendly slogan Nintendo were aiming for on this game I sense) if you have nintendoland get friends over and have a go.gif)

Although, it's a little disconcerting how many people I've spoken to, including gamers, that think this is just a Wii add-on.
On a side-note, Nintendo shop premium service is now up and running. Sign-in using your NNID to claim back points.

Luckily for me, because of Amazon's Nintendo Land fuck-up, I already have £5 to claim as I was given the digital version (I was also sent the boxed copy after complaining).

Registered 5 years agoHad a mate around last night for a gaming session and he thought the wii u was okay, not brilliant after playing nsmb and zombi u.
Then we tried multiplayer zombi u for the first time, and the asynchronous thing was amazing. Loved every second and really provided a new exciting experience. -
Get Nintendoland for that, it's fucking brilliant multiplayer.

Registered 4 years agoOther M isn't very popular with fans of the series. It's a very different game to the Prime ones and is much faster in pace. There's a not so great story line thrown in and the controls require the use of the d-pad to navigate 3D environments.
However, I really enjoyed it. Not in the same league as Prime 1 or 3, but a good game in its own right. Worth a tenner any day!

My wireless through the hub isn't great for gaming. But 60meg wired I can't fault tbh, especially with a phone line package for £26 a month.
The likelihood of me changing ISPs for a new console are pretty slim to none

Registered 7 years agoMy whole network is wired but I've had to get the wireless up and running on this superhub piece of shit for the Wii U. I was going to get the usb ethernet adapter but some people have been complaining about poor download speeds using that. -
