    Where are all the decently priced Thunderbolt External HDD's then?

    Are Western Digital et al going to be releasing a Passport style Thunderbolt drive?

    I was demoed a load of lacie thunderbolt drives a few weeks ago, so they should be appearing soonish.

    Yeah, the channel is dry of 15" machines which usually means a refresh is a matter of days/weeks away.
    That's excellent, because I've been waiting ages for it. Didn't want to pick up the current Mac, because of the rumoured fancy new model. I do hope it has an optical drive though.

    The normal drives were pretty good. We tested the RAIDed ones. The thing I still cant really get my head round is that they get faster the more of them you have daisy chained together.

    That is a bit of a brain fart.

    Do they work OK with mini-display port to dvi (etc.) adaptors?
