The window at the end was real, the perspective changed with the camera position.
No, with all that happened it was just for a bigger, better screen.
No, it was a real window. As the camera moved back the perspective changed. The window wouldn't do that if it was just a better screen, as it would adjust itself based on the character's perspective, not ours. I think?
"It's whichever you want it to be" a direct quote from Charile Brooker himself. :)

So basically it's just a fucking depressing parable about the meaninglessness of modern consumer society, then. Thanks a bunch, Charlie. Happy Christmas.

Think I'll just switch everything off.

First time I saw it I felt it was a giant screen, I saw the black bars are the gaps between each screen. Just rewatched it and I still stick to that view.

Even if he is in a really tall building, the view/trees should be clearer or more in-focus than they are, the trees look slightly pixellated to me. If these were limitations from the effects they had, I still feel it's true because of the previously mentioned upgradeable screens/backgrounds and from the whole feel/message of the program (almost everything being fake or non-genuine). Even if it is a window, it's still not a happy ending because he sold out his beliefs to get it.

Smart camera work to add the ambiguity imo.

As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a ninja.

Anyone noticed that that "The Voice" programme the Beeb are advertising looks suspiciously like one of the Dark Mirror episode sets?

I bet none of the judges say "nice voice but we'd prefer you just take your clothes off" though.

Series 2 starting tonight at 10pm!

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

This appears to be Solaris. But the resurrected in that film had no agenda given to them, they were what they were. Does 'Ash' have one? We'll see.

Claire Ashcroft has put on weight.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

Nope, no agenda. Even the end music was a lot like Cliff Martinez:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5Qw9ANrbIg

Was good, but expected it to take a slightly more sinister turn. Never came unfortunately and the ending felt a little rushed.

    Still, enjoyable telly.

I'm going to be watching this on the old 4oD shortly, is it on par with season 1?

The old saying remains true - better than most stuff on TV. But.........

It was a bit cack wasn't it, the highlight was "the bra".

Felt like a cheap, shorter version of AI with less impact (which is saying something).

And another thing, yes I get it, you know about upcoming technologies, like wireless charging and include a little cut away to it, it's like you've watched a 2 year old episode of the gadget show.

Liked the first series, and despite this being slightly rubbish, it was better than most stuff on TV at the mo.

If it had been a Philip K. Dick story Fake Ash would have pushed Martha off the cliff and had his own simulacrum sent to replace her.

Not a bad start but the implications of what this tech made possible wasn't even touched on, plenty of scope for people being replaced Puppet Masters style.

I liked it but I kept expecting it to get nastier. Not sure if I should be disappointed or relieved.

I quite liked it, dose of pure morbid melancholy.
  • Deleted user 11 February 2013 23:34:33
Hmm, intrigued. Better give it a watch then and make my mind up.

They showed it on the car TV didn't they? Simulated muscle or something. Obviously that was supposed to be just for small scale body repairs.

If only!! At the end of the day it was a chat bot in the loft And by that stage, it would have been out dated. Unless they upgraded / firmware update.
