I've started Uncharted 2 for my 5th play through,
re-started the GOW trilogy from the start,
got back into Red Dead Redemption
an d invited mates around to play GT5 and FIFA 11.

Been playing offline co-op Tomb Raider Guardian of Light...it really is very very good....more people should give it a go; it's only 5.19 (or so) atm on PSN, when it goes back up people should get to it before it goes back up to 10 :)

I was playing online with Uncharted 2, Killzone 3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 but I've rediscovered the brilliant single player games

I play on consoles basically for single player games, so the PSN outage hasn't effected me really. Every now and then I played RB3 with some other randoms over PSN but that's been about the only impact on me.

The unfortunately tedious (so far anyway) Mass Effect 2.
I usually put it down and play that Might and Magic downloadable game (which is sweet).

    Rift (PC).

The PS3 is a DLNA media player these days and that's about it. Haven't played a console game since I got GT5 for Christmas.

    PSN ID: Djini

Dead Space (1, not 2); it has been gathering dust for over a year so thought I may as well draw the curtains and make the least of the sunshine whilst the network is down. Seems alright.

Went through BC2 SP. Finished Dragon Age Origins and Awakenings. Went through LBP2 and am currently playing Pro Evo in between level creating in LBP2 and episodes of Spartacus. However, Ive not had an internet connection since mid-February so the PSN being down hasn't really made a difference to me. Welcome to my world bishes!

Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm wondering if you are Wesley "2scoops" Berry of Gladiators fame.

I, like you, thought the demo was balls, but because it was a tutorial mission decided to give 2010's GOTY the benefit of the doubt.

I don't know, maybe I'm doing it wrong, but the missions are fairly lame, I never feel like doing more than one in a row. It's a shooter, but there is no satisfaction in shooting the enemies. Maybe I'm playing the wrong class or something.

One of the reasons I liked RDR so much was that the gun play (w/o auto aim) was really satisfying. I haven't found that in ME2.

Really really hope that it picks up, because the setting is fairly compelling.

Yea ME2 is pretty straight forward mission-based game, you could do them in different order but the formula really doesn't get any better, talk to some dudes, choose to be a jerk or good dude, then shoot more dudes, the game is a lot better if you actually like the characters, but if not, they're just a bunch of irrelevant side stories until you reach the end.

It's a really story heavy game, so I think it's better if you played the first game which would enhance the second game, since you actually care about some of the characters and the direction the plot is heading, but if not, I could see people think it is a tedious and boring game because of the main focus on gunplay (which I did not think were that good at all, it's a bit more polished than ME1 but with less skill progression/variety).

Edit: I think it was mainly GOTY due to not many games out in the rpg genre last year, and it generally was a better package than most of the single player games, since it has a story, some action and pretty graphics and a good ost.

That's why the game/demo bored me I think. There isn't a story that has sucked me in as I haven't played the first game. I'm a sucker for story driven games.

Dead Space 2 and Dead Space Extraction. Was trying to play Dead Space multiplayer when PSN went down. Spend all my time forwarding ports, just to see connection to PSN lost or something like that. Still don't know if all my port forwarding worked.

I keep meaning to go back to ME2 on PS3, I did love it on 360 but sold it and couldn't resist the double dip for the DLC when PS3 version came out.

I've been mostly playing Portal 2 though, it is a shame I can't get to my steam copy because of this though, the present Mrs Lampy wanted to try the co-op with her on the MBP and me on PS3 but hopes are high it won't be too much longer.

Having said that I spent all last night playing Beyond Good & Evil HD which I've not touched since downloading and throughly enjoyed myself.

I downloaded borderlands about 2 days before the PSN was shut down. Been playing it non stop. Thoroughly enjoying it and not missing the online much at all just now. All though playing this co-op with my mates online would be nice at some point in the future.
