    the beta completely passed me by... looking forward to hearing impressions.

    I loved Warhawk, but i over played, for about a month and a half, i put in with friends, over 150 hours. It was like crack. But ahvn't played it since. its bizarre.

    So this as sort of snuck up on me. i mainly wondering how all this sort of RTS stuff works.

    My first top tip for Starhawk: don't play it immediately after completing Saints Row 3. You will repeatedly kill yourself with grenades trying to run, teabag a rock trying to change weapons, and send your hawk into a barrel roll trying to handbrake turn it. Plus you will just feel disappointed meleeing an enemy and it not be focused around the testicles.

    What is kind of annoying is that they are charging $60 for this, but the single player is basically bot matches with a little comic strip story line. I think it would have done better, and would have made me buy it if it were $40 like the original.

    Iv made up my mind after watching a few vids and not for me. I would get very bored of this and the matches seem far too short! Im also a lone wolf and cant be arsed with teamwork. Yeah and also single player 6hours!!!

    I'm not generally a big MP gamer, but I do like the look of this and have been following it for a while. I think I will stop by Blockbuster on my way home from work tonight and rent it first.

    Having played this for a little bit I can so far it's very good. Admittedly the single player is a extended tutorial it's fun but don't expect the greatest story ever told.

    The mp is very good lots of options and clan systems such as calendars and messaging are built in. Particularly like the homeworld feature which is basically a lobby your friends can join but allows you to build and test vehicles before joining a game. Matches last night had half hour timers and would generally last most of that.

    For me it has that one more go feeling. I reckon though it might be a bit of a marmite game try before you buy unless you liked warhawk in which case you would more than likely enjoy this

    I'm so tempted. I had hours and hours of fun on Warhawk.
    But its sooo bloody expensive. Nigh on 40 nicker from ShopTo & 48GBP from amazon... :eek:

    I'd like to be able to say it's worth every penny. For me it is but I don't feel comfortable enough to recommended it to others. I was trying to knock a big chunk of the sp out but couldn't resist going online for a few matches

    I can't wait to get this game, i'm down with clan/team based play if people wanna kill stuff.
    To me its worth every penny, loved the beta, and that wasnt even the finished product. Loved Warhawk too. ^_^

    Wish I played the beta to see if this is any good. Loved warhawk but still unsure if I should buy this or not.

    Does anyone know if gamestation are selling this instore? The last coule of times I have been in for a new game they have "sold out"

    Had a lash on it this morning. It has a 487mb patch from the get go by the way.

    But I digress

    The few single player missions I played were good, not amazing but show you all the basics you need by the third mission where I had the hang of piloting a Hawk and building around the base.

    Then went for a quick game of Capture the Flag.

    Oh man seriously fun stuff! The team I was on built a few hawks to divert the lazers and main defense guns away when I scooted in and nicked the flag. About mid way after that managed to build a spawn point in a fortified centre near there base and we decimated the team from there! However a few people dropped out after that but the 8V8 scenario was great! I can only imagine what 16Vs16 will be like.

    Also, took out a sniper by dropping a bunker on him!

    Got rid of the ? in the thread title as this is definitely a thing now :)

    Also still tempted to buy this, but I can never be bothered turning the PS3 on for anything other than Blu-Rays!

    Could I have an invite to the clan as well - had my first couple of MP games last night and I could see the potential for great things, but it was only 2 vs 2 so felt way too small for the map size.
