Reminds me of this rumour - Valjean to Arsenal.

    Because he's German.

Next signing needs to be the coach that organises Bradford City's set pieces. Then we'll be nailed on for three points at Villa.

To be honest I want that if colo wants to go. It's just a morale drainer for him to even be there. He's our captain too!
I just want to hear a statement from him himself.
    It's just very unfortunate.
    But we have mbiwaaaa!

Hopefully we can give Villa a good pasting. They are pretty much the only team as bad as we are at the minute!

Hmmm, one does wonder how much longer Lambert's tenure can last. The more vocal fans are getting pretty irate with what's going on. Lerner needs to invest otherwise it's only going to get worse. Saying that, Lambert just doesn't seem to have much idea. He put four strikers on in a game where there needed to be a slow build up from midfield as they were all sat behind the ball.

Also, why is it that set pieces have been a problem now for three successive managers, it's the main way we concede goals but not one manager seems to have addressed it!

If Adkins was deemed sackable after all he did for Southampton then surely Lambert has to go?

Technically, whoever loses out of Newcastle and Villa on Tuesday, that manager should be sacked.

However, Pardew definitely wont be (he'll still be in charge next year even if we go down) and i cant see Lambert going either.

Stupid as it sounds, if Villa do go down, Lamberts probably one of the best people to get them straight back up!

On Tuesday, the 29th of January, 2013, a fixture shall partake between the football clubs Aston Villa and Newcastle United, both of the English Barclays Premiership.

In the event that one of the those football clubs should not be victorious during the fixture, that club should cease their employment agreement with their respective managerial employee.

    Regards,

    USW

You would think so, he did wonderfully for Norwich but he has been very poor for us. Granted, he doesn't have the staff and injuries have been a problem but it's incredible just how inept he has become. Doesn't matter how bad the staff are, you should still be able to distribute them in a sensible way and play to whatever strengths you do have. None of which he has done. So far this season there is one of, if not the, worst loss in the clubs history.

One thing I will say regarding Bradford, they did beat Wigan and Arsenal to get there so it's not just us that should be embarrassed.

Lambert isn't getting sacked, Lerner just wont do it, he never seems to sack mid-season.

Or, two managers who are actually pretty average at best.
  • Deleted user 23 January 2013 11:40:51
I think both are decent managers having a bit of a wobble, and would be worth sticking with.

I seem to remember Moyes flirting with relegation at one point at Everton, possibly the season after he got them 4th.

I should say that I'm not supporting sacking Lambert, I was just using the Adkins example as a bit of devil's advocate.

I am surprised though that Lambert hasn't kicked on more at Villa, he's a decent manager - has he been hamstring by previous managers and the state they've left the club in? Genuine question, as I'm not sure of what's been happening at Villa in detail.

Its like a 'buried alive' match in WWF. Whichever manager loses will get led out of villa park by Paul Bearer and given his P45 on the jumbotron.

We went after him a couple of years ago iirc. Better than what we have for sure. But that isn't too hard.
