If we're talking bargain of the season, then yes, it's Michu.

If we're talking about signings having the most impact, turning a good team into a potentially great one, it's RvP.
I don't think we're talking about either of those exclusively.

We don't need to give away stupid plastic flags to our fans to wave, our supporters are always there with their hearts and that is all we need. Its the passion of the fans that helps us to win matches, not flags. Chelsea fans lack passion.
If that's the case then booing him does prove a point; that they have passion.......passionate hate for him.

Edit: Ah, my point was worthless anyway.

Define impact? He might make his team climb one place, compare that the potential 'impact' of some other signings.
That's true, and fair enough - I see that Swansea finished 11th last season, and are currently 9th and may get into Europe. He's definitely made a big impact.

I guess I'm just looking at it from the perspective of which player I'd rather have in my team, and it would still be RvP. Even if he is a cunt.

He will win utd the league this year, so that will basically repay the fee. Its the ultimate no brainer transfer, so I see what kalel is saying and ordinarily I would agree but he is just on another level.

Also, I think the literal signing of the season is laudrup.
    I know. The cunt. SCH

Toulouse confirm Moussa Sissoko can leave for 3.5m (contract up in summer). Hasn't lived up to 'new Essien' tag.

Seems like a bargain. Also, Liverpool have supposedly bid 15 million euros for Sow.

I suppose you could argue on that basis whether signing Serie A's top scoring midfielder for 2m was all that shrewd, but considering how many teams apparently passed on him, I'd say it adds up.
    Who was that?

One of the 50 players QPR signed this summer must be in with a shout for worst signing so far.

Ah okay. Always thought Michu was a striker anyway.

Has to be Michu really. Would have to have a stinker of a 5 months now not to be signing of the season.

All depends how you define these things to an extent. RvP shouldn't win it no matter what he does really. It's just such a no brainer to sign the best striker in the league if you can afford him. In my book that's not what the phrase is about.
Depends. Not paying much attention to Swansea, but will they finish off better than last season with Michu in their team?

RvP may have been a no-brainer signing in many respects, but it was still a bit of a gamble considering his age, injury record and the huge fee involved. It's hard to see how he could have done any better for Man Utd.
The fact that Swansea may get to a cup final due primarily to him, he's made the difference.
RVP is no gamble. His fee is due to his ability. Whatever risks that were involved (and there's always risks), were offset by the fact he is the best player in the league.

Basically, you get what you pay for. Pay 22mil for a striker and you expect 20 goals. Don't think anyone would expect a 2Mil striker to be one of the best strikers in the league.

We paid 12m for a winger and got Gervinho instead.

Swansea would probably miss Michu less than United would miss RvP, but I don't see what difference that makes really. That just means Swansea have a more balanced team in terms of quality. Not that Michu is any less of a god buy.

I'll vote Michu too. RVP was just too obviously going to work.

Sevilla president is apparently in London to finalise the sale of Negredo.

Got to be Michu to Swansea so far, though Dembele, Ba and R.V.P may pip him to ir before the season is done.
Cant see Dembele or Ba getting it. Between Michu and RVP i'd go with Michu for the simple reason being he has scored the same amount of goals, yet cost 26 million pounds less and is a midfielder.

Used to be at Real Madrid but never really made it. At Sevilla he's been pretty consistent and gets a good amount of goals.

He played a bit in Euro 2012 as well for Spain.

Probably nothing to shit the bed over, but would be a decent signing I think.

Comparing 12m paid or 8m paid for Gervinho is like asking somebody "which would you prefer. Ebola or Malaria". One is slightly less painful.
