|Good news, Chelsea have turned a profit of £1.4m for the year. Just in time for the introduction of the new Fifa Fair Play rules.|
Classing that as "good" news is very subjective.|
Additionally, you can't win the CL every year so I'm not sure how representative that is of the true picture.

1.4 million? |
Hated, adored, never ignored.
|Yeah, what a tiny amount. You should be making much more than that.|
My man gives real loving that's why I call him Killer
He's not a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, he's a thriller
|I haven't seen a breakdown or anything but whilst the CL win helped, we have got to a few semi finals and one final in recent years still making a big loss so the money from that alone is probably not as big a factor as others like cutting costs and commercial deals with big (Russian) sponsers. I saw some stats recently that said worldwide we sold more shirts then Arsenal last year so it shows that as a "global brand" we have grown massively and when you look at the kind of money Utd, Barca and Bayern bring in we still have lots of room to grow.|
|It's no wonder you sell more shirts than Arsenal when you're probably better than them.|
|Shitty plastic flag sales are through the roof apparently.|

|Ah, you've got to love those shill sponsorships eh? I actually have no idea, sure Swiss Ramble will cover it at some point.|
Why are you positioning the fact that you have no idea about something as a spoiler?|
Surely a spoiler would be telling us something we weren't expecting?
|John Terry's family must have upped their shoplifting a lot this year to be able to raise that much from car boot sales.|

Not sure if it's changed since then. From the sound of things, though he hasn't gone all "chelsea" on them, he has done some of the things he tried to over at West London FC, and they weren't going down well from the start.
Plus there was that not-so-subtle tweet from Ekotto.

FFP at it's finest. It's gonna change the landscape. LOL.

|Hey, I'm not hating. Just telling the truth. Is it a lie? Haven't Chelsea (and City, and other clubs like PSG) easily found ways round it? Didn't abrom wipe out most of your debts?|
They fudged the numbers didn't they? Also the figure doesn't include any of the £20billion or so they spent on players this summer.|

|When Abramovich gives them free money, it shows as debt on the books first, but then he effectively writes it off by turning it into equity. So effectively they just need to match their operating costs with their revenue and they'll break even, and he'll dope them on top to pay for big signings etc without it affecting the books.|
The-Bodybuilder wrote:Who cares though. I'm far more interested in what FFP does for the clubs without sugar daddies.
Possibly the worst, most pointless piece of sports journalism I have ever seen:|
|The Sun will be running that shit front page tomorrow.|
|Gotta print something ain't they?|
|Those arses aren't going to wipe themselves.|
