Apparently it's been going on for years. Glenn Roeder wanted him gone and Pardew insisted he had his own office at the training facility to keep him out of the way.

    Well played Utd.

They should do that to Arsenal.

Now if ever there was a guy who deserved better than he got from the fans it was Roeder. Player, captain and manager for the club who stepped up when called upon despite not wanting the top job and doing a pretty decent job of keeping together a team that was all over the place after Souness. Took us from staring relegation in the face to 7th in the league and European qualification.

Considering what came next those were halcyon days of stability and moderate achievement

Or considering how rich they are they could have just taken the moral high ground and used some money from the offical tractor or noodle supplier to subsidise the tickets. Rather than penalising innocent Spanish fans.

They have done it to discourage other clubs doing it. Now the Sevilla fans will be pissed off at their club (although it seems they were already annoyed about it beforehand), if they lower the price of the tickets we will do the same. Why should they pay for someone else trying to fleece our fans?

That doesn’t work because then every club would do it against them.

Did you just compare Man Utd fans to Chelsea fans?!

Well then! Arsenal fans are the same as West Ham fans. Both support shit teams in London. :p

25m bid for sanchez from utd apparently.

I'd love him to come but still think he's off to city.

+Mhkitarian, apparently. Make it Martial and you've got a deal. (Although I agree that the player wants to go to City, so all very moot).

I'm getting sick of this Sanchez deal just take the money and be done with it. This is all arsenal's fault how many times will they realise it's not wise allowing players to run down contracts.

I wouldn't swap Martial for Sanchez in a straight deal. Wouldn't take Mhiki off us either, he is brilliant on his day but inconsistent and loses the ball constantly when he is having a bad one.

Like you say though he will go to City, not sure who he replaces though.

It's the reality of the situation it has continued over the years. No other club struggles to keep players under contract.

Wouldn't surprise me if its just press bollocks so it can be hailed as another victory for Pep over Jose. They do love a good stir up.

Apparently we've offered Sanches Flores a 5 year deal and cash to spunk but he's got to give us a decision tomorrow. The alternative is Martin O'Neil for the rest of the season but no idea if Roy Keane would tottle over. Would be happy with either to be honest. I don't think it'll keep Flores awake all night being prized away from living in Barcelona to live in Stoke at all.

I suspect Arsenal have leaked it in order to get City to up their bid.

Contracts is a difficult one - we'd have been crucified if we'd sold him with 2 years left - and he had a good season, helping us win the FA Cup. Can't force them to sign a new deal.

Arsenal should be snapping our arm off for Cash+Mkhi

If there's one thing that club desperately needs, it's a mentally weak attacking midfielder they can shove out wide.

We've found ourselves short in key areas yet again. I hope wenger gets another signing in before the window. To be fair getting 12 million for Coquelin is a decent bit of business.

I know he's been ruined at Man Utd but I'd love to think that Mkhi still had seasons like his last one at Dortmund in him. He took a little while to settle there and that's a far more supportive club than I could imagine one run by Van Gaal and Mourinho being.

I'd love to see it myself, but he doesn't seem to have the bottle. Bit of a sensitive soul by all accounts. He's worked his way back in through very good performances a couple of times but there's a clear pattern of him capitulating in big games. And not in a 'Mourinho's parking the bus so we're not playing to his strengths' way, but a 'can't control a ball any better than an U12 and misplaces crosses by a postcode' way.

Mkhitaryan makes sense for us. Sell the only player in your squad that comes close to being labelled as a DM and replace with a fairly short AM who weighs less than 10 stone.
