    I have to admit, I was expecting Ozil to do an ACL last week.

    ---------------------------------------------------------
    He totally called it

    Nah, that won't happen until he starts properly training with Arsenal.

    So tomorrow I can't wait to see Moyes try out his new formation of:

    DGEA

    Evra Vidic Rio Jones

    Carrick Fellani

    Valencia Giggs

    RVP

    It just screams fun*.

    I have to admit, with all the hype over the signing, exacerbated by the LONGEST INTERNATIONAL BREAK EVER, I've now got a nasty feeling he'll turn out like Veron. Looking back at the list of the biggest signings to join the PL from abroad in their supposed prime, the majority have flopped here.

    @mcmonkeyplc

    He's the right man to knock Liverpool off their (temporary) perch. Keep the faith.

    Liverpool aren't on any perch and we aren't going to knock anyone off anything with a team that lacking in creativity.

    Yes I'm moaning. Get over it.

    @Kay

    I don't think it will apply to Ozil. He'll fill his boots (assists only).

    It's mental that Giggs is still a starter for United. He's 40 in a couple of months and it showed against Liverpool.

    Is Moyes playing 10 men as some kind of revolutionary tactical ploy?

    It's also the same team as last year with the absence of a sideways passing midget and the right number of players so I don't get why they're boring and terrible this week.

    I guess Fergie earned the right to be boring.

    Firstly with side ways passing boy making it add up to the right number it's not the same team. Giggs didn't start many games last year. Rodney played a few games and so did Hernandez.

    It's not the same team (even you don't count fellani)

    Although Moyes has been hit by injuries in the creative part and up front so hopefully it'll get better.

    For now though MOAN MOAN MOAN.

    Utd's form isn't hugely different to last year or any of the last few seasons. Always start relatively slowly, hit stride about Nov, well in the mix or ahead in Feb.
  • Deleted user 13 September 2013 13:14:59
    Unless RVP gets a long injury then 4th is going to be something to aim for.

    I think he'll fit into Arsenal better than Veron did at Utd. I just wonder how long he'll need to adjust to the added pace and physicality of the PL.

    He won't need much time to adjust going to Arsenal, it's not like he's signed for Stoke.

    It certainly looks exciting when you totally ignore the defensive side of the team...

    Nothing welcomes a new manager like a Twitter campaign to undermine their team selection.
