    You should hear Nascar interviews.

'I knew when I was lining up on the grid I had the right set up for this oval in my CoorsLightMountainDewTundra500. I knuckled down and in the end it was the sheer speed of the CoorsLightMountainDewTundra500 that got me over the line.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

Wales is pretty much a suburb of England to be honest though.

    Called it

It is when there is a Welsh league running concurrently.

Barclays did actually pay for the naming rights as opposed to just a sponsor endorsement, so it's not unlike referring to the Emirates stadium or whatever.

    From twatter Phil Cadden ‏@pjcadden

Malky Mackay's odds to be next Everton manager have dropped dramatically.

Speaking of which, have we found out whether Swansea will have to have a little St George's Flag next to them in the Euro Vase next year?

@welshben23 To be fair, you can't argue with the logic; the price to pay for wanting to be in the english league setup.

Although I think all british clubs should have the union jack, so there you go.

I honestly forgot the smiley there mate, it was a joke. The League of Wales is pathetic so I'd much rather be in the English setup. :)

They're now The New Saints F.C.

On changing their name, the chairman of their supporters club is quoted as saying, "Never ever have I ever felt so sad, The way I'm feeling yeah, you got me feeling really bad."

Are they based near the coach?

Fuck it, they welcomed in "new, pure shores ahead" after the name change.

BT broadband customers get them free I believe. I'm no longer a Sky subscriber, but I do still have the box and a viewing card through which I watch the free view channels.

Fuck knows what that means. Perhaps I should get into a good hour long phone call with one of their customer service drones and baffle them with my sheer edge-caseness.

    FRIDAY MAY 10 2013
    RESPONSE TO TWITTER MEDIA STORY
Response in relation to the media stories surrounding Wayne’s Twitter profile:

    Statement from Wayne Rooney

“There’s a load of rubbish being written about me changing twitter bio saying I have deleted Manchester United from it.
I have never deleted Manchester United from the bio whatever the papers are saying because it was never on there.
All that happened was that I was asked by Nike to add @nikeuk to it – the same as many other sportspeople they sponsor.
Funny, no-one’s written about that though!
That change was made THREE weeks ago and yet people are talking about it as if its something that was put up yesterday..”
    Statement from Nike

A spokesperson for Nike confirmed: “In April, we asked Wayne Rooney and other Nike sponsored athletes to add @nikeuk on to their profiles due to changes in ASA guidelines relating to athletes and social media.”

Hehe - great statement! (Did try and use Wayback Machine to see if it had a cached version of his profile though: sadly doesn't seem as though it does Twitter URLs)

Defo. We do have Whittingham and Kim Bo who should do pretty well in the BPL as they'll have much more time on the ball when compared with the aggressiveness of the Cahmpionship.

Been a season ticket holder for years, so i'm all sorted. :D
The PL is far more aggressive than the champ, with technically better defenders too.
