If you can tackle, prepare to be groomed as the next Roy Keane.

He'll probably find new form under Moyes.

    @The-Bodybuilder

There is still loads he could do at club level if he went abroad. I honestly think that is why we fare so badly in the big international tournaments. Because our top players very rarely move ouside of the EPL.

    It limits them tactically.

The obvious solution is to bring in Xbox-style achievements, like "win the league in 3 different countries" or "visit a brothel then score in your next match". I reckon I know which one Rooney'd go for first.

The problem with this is he gives the ball away A LOT. It takes a special kind of focus to play in the middle of the park and not be a big puffing liability, a focus Rooney seems to be missing recently.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

Yes, agree with that. He needs a bit more awareness.

Can't believe Rooney's pulling the same shit again. Time to flog him (although you could easily say that after the first time he played the club for a mug).

He was still useful the first time he pulled it. Now it's just about time to cut and run. He won't be useful for much longer.

Lawl. Apparently some eager beaver on the mufc soshul meeja team just posted 'Please join us in welcoming David Moyes as the new manager' to the manyoo facebook page only for it to be hastily taken down.

    Sucks to be everton.

Hes submitted another transfer request, although this time he does appear to want to move rather than just trying to get his contract improved.

In other news, the Everton website is fucking shit. Did they get someone from Paddy Power to design it?

They'll be missing out on a ton of cash from all the adverts and videos on there if they don't get it back up soon.

Maybe that's what they've spent the last couple of days doing. With luck, it'll be enough to buy another player from League 1...

A question for Manchester United supporters:

What are your thoughts on Quinton Fortune's time at the club? Did he leave much of an impression? Do you hold him in high esteem at all?

    Just curious.

I always had a soft spot for Quinton Fortune.

and besides, he was definitely better than Kleberson.

I went to school with him - or, he went to my school after being bought by Spurs when he was 14-15.

People don't seem to have understood that Ferguson hasn't retired from football and will still very much be a presence at United for a while to go yet. Moyes under his tutelage seems damn decent.

As for the 'but he hasn't won anything' and 'European experience' arguments, I don't see much merit in either one. Some managers who win things go to clubs and are bobbins, some managers who don't win things go to clubs and...win things.

Winning trophies in football is about so much more than the ability of the manager and you would think these 'football people' would understand that.

I would have thought he was exactly the kind of player QPR needed to fight back from the championship.

If you only choose managers from a pool of people who have regularly won trophies at the highest level then you'll find yourself with not many people to choose from after a while (hi Chelsea!).
