    That looked incredibly harsh.

@Rob, yeah but it's got a bucket load of charm.

    Fantasy league points ahoy!

They're in big trouble without him.

Yeah, I thought red at first but a yellow would have been fair.

    Ooooooh Christian Benteke.

Really harsh red. No aggression in the tackle and seemed a legitimate attempt to win the ball.

I really think staying up will be the making of this villa team, loads of young talented players, great to watch at times.

Really? Can't say I've been that impressed at any stage of the season.

Them being you and British doesn't make them talented you know ;)

22 goals in his first PL season in a struggling team is bloody excellent from Benteke.

@Syrette I couldn't give a bollocks about them being British, hadn't even thought about that until you said it actually.

Most of the team a more than capable of knocking a ball about comfortably and playing the right way. They've got pace in the flanks and in their full backs.

Most times I've watched them silly mistakes and inexperience have been what's cost them in games. They're not going to win the league but I don't think they'll be in the relegation mire next season.

Come on Wigan. Dig yourself out of this, cos three teams on 37 would be fantabulous.

Thats quite amazing. Villas spanking of sunderland and Newcastles capitulation at the weekend mean that villa have made up the ten goal deficit on newcastle in just over two days.

10 goal diff swing on Newcastle in two matches. Jeezus.

Some teams could profit very easily from the last relegated team: Villa have some gooduns, Newcastle too.

No danger of DiCanio needing the services of the dry cleaners in the morning.

I think everyone is pleased to see Villa getting a result (bar blue noses). They are a 'proper' club.

Apparently they haven't won on a Monday night for over ten years.

After a couple of matches elements of the press were raving about the Di Canio Effect - will it turn out to have just been the dead cat bounce all along?
Maybe Short should get another manager in - another couple of games of dead cat bounce could actually save their season.

Hah, 11 goals and have gone up a place on goal difference.

Bit of a weird ones for newcastle fans. Seeing sunderland get humped: good. Seeing sunderland get humped and possibly send you down because of it: bad.
