Fair play to Walters, that was a brilliant pen. Perfect.

From these highlights, Wigan were unlucky to lose.

Di Canio always seems very aware of the cameras. His 'passion' reminds me a lot of what you see from Nicole what's her face during the F1 coverage.

Speaking of being aware of the cameras, praying that Crystal Palace don't get promoted. Don't think there's any manager in the history of the game who spends more time on thinking of witty things he can say in the interview after the next game than actually preparing for the game itself. Came out with more shit today, cringeworthy stuff.

Really harsh red card for Giroud imo. Looked like he went to control/turn the ball and his standing leg slipped.

It was 'harsh' but I totally understand why it was given.

He went over the ball. Whether he slipped or fell or whatever, he went over the ball and unfortunately caught the player. It's harsh, he definitely 100% didn't mean it, but I still think it's the right decision to have sent him off.

Terrible decision from the assistant to disallow that Lallana goal.

The only thing I can see with that Lallana goal is that his left hand, when he jumps, catches Vorm's hand just before Vorm catches it. It could have put Vorm off slightly, and may have been why Vorm was going mental about him using his hands (he could also have just been trying to claim handball). But there's no way the lino has seen that, and I can only assume he's blown thinking it was handball.

I assumed it'd been given for a foul on the goalkeeper. Not that it was a foul, but yeah.

Everton league defeats this season: West Brom (A), Reading (A), Chelsea (H), Man United (A), Norwich (A) and now Sunderland (A). Everton cup defeats: Leeds (A), and Wigan (H)

Seems to have been the case for a long time that we don't turn up for the games we're expected to win - chokers if you will. Could a new manager change that? Personally I don't want to have to find out, but something is going wrong, and often.

    ULTRA PESSIMISM
Right, because I and other Newcastle fans have no reason to be pessimistic.
    *cough*

    Well seeing as you've done this before with arsenal fans, let me be the one to roll out the list;
    - you'll almost certainly survive
    - You have the base for a good squad for the future
    - You're in good financial health.
    - You'll likely be challenging for Europe
    - You're in the Premier league, there are literally hundreds of clubs that would kill to be in your position.

So basically you should be grateful to be in the position you're in.

    etc. etc.

Apparently in Moyes' 11 years at Everton, he has NEVER won at Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge, or Arsenal. Just something I read, I have no idea if it's true or not.

You're in 6th, somewhere between 6 and 3 points ahead of Liverpool, on a fraction of the transfer spend of any of the teams above you and several of the teams below, and something is going wrong?

Chelsea at home and away to Man U were games you were expecting to win? Or do you just meant he other matches, as if you're somehow entitled to expect to beat West Brom at their ground?

Chokers? Over-achievers more like. Plenty of teams would love to have your "problems". Maybe you should get Harry Redknapp in.

Yeah, FAN-O-Meter rages are one thing, but to expect anything more from Moyes and Everton is sheer madness.

The fact that Everton are even mentioned as 1 of the top teams is enough to garner respect as they wouldn't be anywhere near that if not for Moyes.
With Wenger, some will argue that he hasn't used all that he has, that can't be applied to Moyes, who's done everything and used ever resource he has to take them where they are. Sadly, those resources were too little to begin with.

And it's not Moyes that's stopping you from entering the top 4, it's the fact that you have an empty wallet. No new manager will change that, IMO.
