Have any of you used iPhoto Library Manager? It seems to do a lot of tricks.

What I wonder is if it could merge two libraries and get rid of duplicates.

I'm in a silly situation where the family photos are spread out over three or four computers (one or two PCs and two Macs), one USB drive and one NAS drive.

Actually, what I should do is split it up over several libraries all residing on my NAS and the Library Manager seems to do just that. But first it would be nice to get rid of duplicates.

Any of you ever used it?

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

I've heard it mentioned a couple of times on the Mac Observers MacGeekGab podcast. Seems that they like it.

What are the chances that they wouldn't like it?

They tend to only mention stuff that they find useful and it's a podcast all about solving issues.

It's a third party app so it will be heavily scrutinized.

Did you have duplicates and if so what happened?

if you don't want to keep the duplicate file then copy the file one by one . but if you have deleted the file mistakenly then you can recover it wtih the help of time machine backup utility, here you recover your whole iphoto library or some selected file which you want to recovery.

I never got around to solving this problem.
I have decided to export all my photos into folders on the NAS. But since I moved house I haven't hooked the iMac up to the NAS with a cable so no progress have been made.

I do spend some time organizing photos every now and then.
