DSfix DoF setting makes the PC version ridonkulous.
Edit: with a 360 controller, of course!

I've seen a probably infamous PvP video of someone pretending to be a Silver Knight in Ano Londo and the invader just strolls straight past him towards the bonfire and promptly gets backstabbed in the doorway.
@Goodfella - I was watching Dark Souls Rosie, (who if none of you have seen her videos, some of them are quite hilarious.)
She poses as the Bandit class in the dark root garden, she pretends to be one of the NPC's, and when invaders come near she one-shots them with a backstab.
Its really quite funny.
Although i think its called "Indiana Jones Souls" or something. The guy is a complete jerk basically ganking round sens, but its so funny.
My own take on that would be dressing up in full havel gear (armour, greatshield, dragontooth) after bumping him off and hanging around his room, waiting to see if they pass me by and promptly using the two handed R2 attack to flatten them.
Edit: Having watch some of Dark Souls Rosie and came to the conclusion that they're kind of a douchebag, the kind of invader that will wait until you're attacking an enemy for them to strike, rather than waiting and then going for the kill.
I know a sense of honour probably isn't the kind of thing you get from PvPing in Dark Souls but having been through the torture of Sen's Fortress the last thing you need is some douchebag dropping on you as you're slowly trying to make your way across narrow bridges.
I get that "doing anything to win" is kind of the creed of Dark Souls but...honestly say I'm glad I'm offline if that is the kind of shit you have to put up with.

Registered 2 years ago@Dr_Mech - Hehehe, Havel would be a good one to imitate, I'd probably imitate Shiva in the darkroot if it was possible.
I agree, although incredibly funny, the indiana jones guy sucks. Can you imagine how pissed off you'd be if you were a victim of his.
I only really invade people because I like to fight people 1-on-1. But the battle for scizium gazebo whatever (in the DLC) doesnt work for me.
Atleast in the painted world where I invade, theres a mixture of people to invade. Some are waiting for a fair fight, some are waiting on the bridge with 2 other guys to gank you. Some people you fight fairly but are trying to complete the level.....its all good fun.

Registered 1 year ago@Architect_z The other thing that sucks ballsac about the arena is that I haven't once had any souls as a reward for succeeding. In fact, are there any rewards for the duels? If God said “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you,” to Mary - does that mean he loves bukkake?

Registered 8 years agoI've gone back to my old Korean import version (PS3) of Demon's Souls, ah the memories. I did complete it, by that I mean I reached the end , but by no means would I say I've 'played' it, like I've played Dark Souls, as in find loads of items and doing all that extra optional stuff.
So, could be a while spent on that now, although my memory is still aware of the very nasty places/bosses, nastier than in Dark Souls, so I may not bother.
Still, I was very surprised to see a load of ghosts/players running about!

Registered 2 years agoYeh I want to play demons souls properly again, although I'm hungry for more info on Dark Souls II.
I liked invading on Dark Souls, but when you start winning all the time it gets a tad dull. -

Registered 8 years agoI meant to mention that, the game feels so much smoother by comparison.
Presumably cause it was made specifically for the PS3? -

Registered 3 years agoNot sure why, but that's a good a reason as any. Also, not only smoother, but actually physically faster - rolling, parrying, riposting just feel quicker to mepsn = quaddy456

Registered 8 years agoYeah I noticed that too, in fact, I prefer it in that respect.
It's definitely harder isn't it, no doubt about that. I forgot you had to kill the first boss (Phalanx) before you could spend your souls and it's a very long time (and a load of enemies) to get to the boss compared to Dark Souls. -

Registered 3 years agoYes, love the speed in Demon's
Backstabbing has a smaller window but I find parrying a TON easier. I did all the skeletons up to the black one in 4-1 by parrying and didn't miss one.
This is from a person that may parry 3% in dark souls.gif)
I suppose it's a little harder. Combat is the same, but the environment is trickier - shortcuts maybe, but no bonfirespsn = quaddy456

Registered 8 years agoHaha again I noticed the same, I rarely parry in Dark but I was going parry mad in Demon's, it is definitely easier.

Registered 3 years ago@Architect_z - oh, I dunno - I'd say that the music in the 5-3 boss fight in demon's souls is better than any of the other tracks in Demons + Dark put together

Registered 2 years ago@quadfather - Hehehe, Gwyn's music is amazing considering its just a piano. My favourite all in all is Gravelord Nito on the dark souls OST. Its pure punchy terror. Also daughters of chaos is great too. Taurus demon, you cant really go wrong with that. ^_^ -

Registered 3 years agoYeah, I like Gwyn's too.
But the 5-3 music in demon's combined with the experience you go through in that fight is just too damn emotional for mepsn = quaddy456

I'm not so sure Demon's is that hard after all, I'm at the spider boss and haven't died once yet. Must be cause I've played Dark Souls to death it makes it seem easy now.
