Does Phil Jones have some kind of medical problem with his face?

    Good 0-0 result for Iceland.

Do away-goals count in these play-offs?

Yeah, think so. First England game I've not watched in ages. Doesn't sound like I've missed much.

Hoolahan has been great for Ireland this evening.

Any idea why he's fallen out of favour cali?

@Dougs We are not shining. Chile are not bad.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Three nil with two goals from open play?! What the hell is going on.

That last goal was exciting and incisive. I'm at a loss here. I know it's a friendly but this is just so alien to me.

I wish I had! He's always been our most creative player.

I suppose Hughton wants to play with his new signings - Fer etc.

Koscielny sent off for France - and then he went in for seconds.

France are going to shit - could easily have been 4-0 down.

Finished 2-0 in the end, but it really should/could have been worse. Both teams ended up with 10 men - poor old Koscielny.

Ah. That's strange. I had assumed his form had dipped or something.

He was great anyway. Sharp and quick on the turn.

It is an England B team after all. The real test will be against the Germans with hopefully our A team.

Chile were great. So dangerous when attacking, England didn't know how to deal with them. Their performance next year in Brazil should be interesting. England were poor, Hodgson got his tactics all wrong.

Enjoyable game that. Latvia really seem to be going through a shit phase though. Its a bit hard to judge anything this early and even an away game against tougher opponents next week will be too soon to gauge any changes or improvements properly. Still, it is nice to be dampening down hope and enthusiasm after an Irish game. Even nicer to be failing so badly.

Not too fussed by the England result, it did produce this gem at least.

    1886Gunners ‏@Timbo_Slice1991
Adrian Chiles will be gutted at that result. However his counterpart Adriano Englands is over the moon.

    This space left intentionally blank.

Lol, quality. I only realised yesterday that it finished 2 nil. Will probably give tomorrow a swerve too, even if it is Germany.

Can't disagree with Neville more there. England won't win jack shit playing "the English way".

Fucking hell, he is an almighty cock, repeatedly goading Ballack about which England players would get in the Germany team and then saying "I hope we beat Germany now that you've said that".
