Anyone else had problems with the headphone jack on the XL? Tried 3 different sets of headphones and they all fit very loose in the jack and if I make any slight movements the sound will start playing out the speakers. Far from ideal and according to Google seems to be a common problem.

Only got it yesterday and loathe to take it back already.
Just a thought, you pushed the jack until it clicks in. If it's like the Wii U pad you have to give it a final click in as it's new.

Mine arrived 2 or 3 days after being shipped, however I live in Belgium so I can't really speak for the UK. Still, Amazon UK packages usually arrive very quickly here as well so I wouldn't worry too much about any delays. Amazon is pretty fast no matter which one you order from.

So I've just ordered a new phone, means I could trade in my old Galaxy S2 for a 3DS XL in CEx.

Tempted, as I hear the XL is not the hand cramping, tiny, battery life of 30 minutes piece of shit the 3DS was, and it now has some games.

I genuinely haven't looked at the software side, so what is out now? I know people keep talking about the resurgance, anyone want to let me know the highlights? Preferably card based games only as Nintendo don't know how to do accounts.

The thing is, I'm clearly compelled to buy it because of the Vesperia and God Eater characters, regardless of anything else. :p

There's also the Devil Survivor 2 port/extension coming, if you haven't already played the DS version (or if you have and liked it).

    @RyanDS

I just picked up a 3DS XL a week ago. Its still very uncomfortable to hold compared to a Vita so I can't imagine how bad the original was!

    Battery life is fine.

    For games I've got :
    Mario 3D
    Luigi's
    Ghost Recon
    Fire Emblem
    Layton

And a few from the estore.

I have no regrets whatsoever with my purchase. Get stuck in.

I find it more comfortable than the Vita, just. The Vita is very thin, top to bottom, which can be awkward.

Don't get devil survivor overclocked yet, there's game breaking bugs apparently that stops you from being able to play the game. They were working on a patch but i'm not sure where there up to on that!

@Wavey They've sent the patch to Nintendo. It's now up to them when it appears on the eShop.

    Well done Nintendo.

Hadn't Realise my club Nintendo account wasn't linked to the shop until after buying fire emblem.

Presumed this would be sorted with an email to customer service. They cannot link it apparently. This after about a week after my initial email.

Of course I'm not going to simply accept that but not sure how much joy I'll get. It's so anti customer as well as somehow managing to completely turn me off an otherwise excellent promotion.

Honestly this sort of bullshit is why Nintendo are totally fucked in the home console market. Hopefully only a matter of time before these clueless fuck wits stop attempting to produce hardware.

    /slow clap

Seriously? I can't find a good way to hold my 3ds and I always end up moving volume control accidentally.

The 3ds open is much thinner than the xl, just put them side by side... Oh wait, by top to bottom you mean the height of the screen dimension?

Oh well... I find the xl worse anyway. But not so bad it really bothers me

I think the 3D is great for those pinball games. It really helps visualise the tables better. One thing it has over the console versions.
