It's a Wii game so it won't use the gamepad screen at all.
I think it's Wiimotes and Pro Controllers only but that will need confirming?

If it's a controller designed for Wii U, you cannot use it. Wii remotes and classic controllers only.

    Wii U: Raiko87

Out of interest, does that include Wii U Pro controllers, or do you need to hunt down a Wii Classic controller for Wii games on the Wii U?

FWIW for those hunting for this game, I thought it was still in stock at Amazon quite recently. The first print run sold out pretty quickly, but the latest one kept it in stock for a long time.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

I've a copy in superb nick for sale in the sales thread if anyone wants it!

And you can't use a Wii U Pro controller on it - just the Wii Classic Controller (and Wii Classic Controller Pro, and Wiimote / Nunchuck)

For what it's worth, I'd happily pay 50 for this game. There is well over 100 hours of playtime in it.
Very kind of you to do a search, my friend. Ideally I'd want this new. Do CEX even do new games anymore?

I'm actually going to be borrowing a Wii just to play this game, ha.

No problem at all. You'll have a tough time finding a new copy sub-50, Amazon Marketplace is the best bet or just hope to get a copy cheap via auction on Fleabay.

Can anyone give me some non spoiler help please. I'm quite enjoying mixing side quests and main story, to the extent I am in my mid 40's in the Etris sea area. (After visiting the city briefly.)

For the first time in the game I am actually rather annoyed as I was to do some main story, but I have what seems like hundreds of timed side quests to do. I want to swap between them as too many side quests in a row is boring and I want to see story, but I don't want to lose out on them.

As such can I carry on with the main story a bit, and these timed quests will only expire with plenty of forewarning later, or should I focus on them now?

I am currently running around having dropped the princess woman back at the city, and I think my next task is probably to pick her up to do some Tomb quests.

I wouldn't worry too much about the timed quests - they last for ages, you can usually get on with the story for a bit and then come back to them later.

I have a copy that I have finished and I doubt I will go back to it.

If anyone has a good offer I would be tempted to sell.

Ryan, you're probably a little overlevelled for where you are (I completed the Erith Sea sections of the game at around Level 40 with relative ease). I've spent a long time questing now to level to around 50 for the next section of the game which I've yet start, and somehow my game clock's getting pretty quickly towards 60 hours already!

The timed quests last a long time. You don't need to worry too much.

I am overlevelled as I am spending far too much time with poor parties. I keep swapping people to try to build up affinity, which means half the time I am using combinations I really dislike, being overlevelled means I don't need to worry about figuring out how to use them together, instead I can just let them fight with the standard arts. Also there are just so many quests and I feel wrong heading to the next area without clearing them up!

I know! I have decided to only do the sensible quests. There are quite a few quests I have ignored as they are stupid World of Warcraft "collect 6 spleens from this rare animal, Oh, and only 1 in 10 of them have spleens, and they only respawn every 20 minutes" type bollocks.

I gave up on some of the collection quests where you had to hunt certain monsters for rare drops, but I think I did most of the side quests in the end.

    So it seems.

It's very rare a game can hold my attention for this long nowadays, I still buy tonnes of RPGs still but generally reach 20 hours before getting bored and never seeing the end. It's a time thing I think, with a challenging job and a single television in the home my gaming time is quite limited anyway, although Wii U is helping a little in as much as I can now play off screen.

I've had Xenoblade since release though and just keep coming back. I also tend to play it in multiple hour stints which is uncommon as I've grown older. This game really does take me back to the RPG-loving days of my teens, and it's the main reason I think I'll see this one through to the end, even though it's taken me 18months (so far) to do so.
