    @LeSpank

I have the Galaxy Note, so SpaceChem should be alright (according to the Humble Bundle installer app, which says 5"+); might still try Uplink.

Since Google decided to shitcan listen I've had to find a new podcast app. I've just bought pocketcasts and its made me realise just how devoid of features the listen app was.

Just simple stuff like scheduling its checking and downloading during then night when on charge and WiFi and then auto adding them to a playlist is such a simple thing but its brilliant :-)

@crashVoodoo will check that out! I'm still subscribing & downloading through iTunes then transferring over USB to my phone, then playing through Astro Player. Convoluted and a bit of a PITA!

Also, I'm assuming there are decent bookmarking tools in Pocketcasts?

@crashVoodoo I just bought it based on your post. Wow it really is so much better than Listen, it actually gives you control and doesn't seem to constantly fail to download podcasts.

The new Nikon Android camera. Interesting device, I guess its the logical progression for compacts on their way to inevitable merger with smartphones.

Hmm, what happened to Listen then? Just not supporting it any more? Will check out the others though, whilst Listen largely worked, it does fall over occasionally.

I know. The downloads failing was annoying. I also used to get random lockups when streaming or I couldn't skip back and forth properly.

I like that video podcasts work properly now as well.

Google have decided that now there are better apps on the store, they're calling it a day. It'll work until sometime in November then you won't be able to search for new stuff.

Cool, cheers. May as well make the switch sooner rather than later then!

Edit: Ooh, I like that a lot. Nice recommendation, cheers.

I don't know if there are multiple bookmarks per podcast but it remembers your position in all podcasts you've started as far as I can tell.

    Riptide

Playing on my Galaxy S3 the graphics are probably the best I've seen on a phone, the game itself is great fun to boot.

Unlike something like Dead Trigger I don't think racing games suffer as much from the ole "touch screen controls are crap" syndrome. If they added multiplayer this could be amazing.

It plays incredibly smoothly on my S2, was highly impressed when I got it. Motion controls don't suck either, though maybe my time playing excite trucks on the Wii help with that.

I've never been a fan of 'tilt to steer' games on phones. That said, I agree with the Dead Trigger comment; that's a real faff to play - aiming with the right thumb then having to try and find the fire button at the same time... Looks amazing but not for me.

The humble bundle 3 at www.humblebundle.com had been updated and includes a further 4 games on top of the initial 5. Go fill up your phone!

Possibly it was bumped by a spammer and they have since been vapourised?

Beyondpod is largely fine, but it's annoying how it repeatedly downloads duplicate copies of stuff you've already downloaded, and completely forgets what you have/haven't listened too occasionally. Seen this across multiple android devices. It does the job but it doesn't hold a candle to Downcast on ios sadly.

I'm at the end of Another World, which I bought a couple of weeks ago. I have enjoyed it and it's still a great game, but fuck me are some of the 'puzzles' oblique and the combo of slightly unresponsive controls coupled with touchscreen buttons makes some of the combat and platforming very painful. It's been great and I've got my 2 worth, but I cannot be bothered to struggle through the last section now. Next up I'll try to finish Broken Sword.

Good spot re: Pocket Casts. Only used it for a bit but I can already see I prefer it to Beyondpod.

Yeah, Broken Sword is excellent. Works perfectly with a touch screen and makes you realise what a sadly lacking genre point & click games have been since the late '90s.

Probably way late to the party with this, but anyone using there phone for music really should download this. The difference its made in sound quality on my S3 is really pretty astounding.
