I thought the Marketplace only showed you Apps that were compatible...

Not as nice as I used to be

  • Deleted user 2 July 2012 15:14:06
^ When you click a game on Google Play Store (on PC via an internet browser) and try to download it to your phone/device it should inform you when it's incompatible. If it is incompatible, it will be greyed out and you cannot download it. When you do this directly via your phone, only compatible games should be visible.
Someone might correct me here though...

Anyone else playing The Wasted Land? I'm finding it annoyingly fiddly.

Spacechem is finally available for Android devices (1280x800 or above only).

Also, Wargames is a nice little game, very similar to Dungeon Raid with a few added twists.

I've been playing it, definitely has a lack of repsonse to the controls, but when you get used to the tap-and-hold nature of selection it's not too bad. Definitely worth persevering with.

Awesome! I have this on Steam but a portable version would be great.

Best game Ive ever played on mobile. So easy, yet so challenging! There was a front page piece that mentioned it the other day. The one about Apps Of The Day, and every so often an absolute gem comes along. And that is one!
Seriously, you MUST play this game if you haven't. It's crack.

There's a silly difference between Chrome on iOS and Chrome on Android. The gesture off the bezel to switch tabs works on both, but they're the opposite way around stupidly! Right to left on iOS moves tab left, right to left on android moves tab right! Really annoying as it's hard to shake the habit of either when going between my Note and and my iPad. Also, on iOS you can go from the first to last tab easily in one move, whereas on android you can't go directly between the two. Tsk.

Had it working on my GS2 for all of 2 weeks before I upgraded to ICS. Sky and the Economist are the slowest adopters of new OS releases ever.

    Come and get it cumslingers!

Dead Trigger is free at the moment - pretty good zombie fps shooter, just the usual touch screen control issues, but no game breaker, for me at least.

Anyone managed to grab that Lara Croft game? It seems it has been pulled from the Google Play Store. How can they do this with a game people paid real money for anyway.

Anyone got anything good or bad to say about Minecraft Pocket Edition? My Nexus credit is starting to burn a hole in my virtual pocket.

    FPS controls are inherently crap.

If you don't care about that it is only a slightly broken game.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

Yeah, I tired the demo and they weren't great but at least with Minecraft it's more about the building than shooting.

In light of the Manic Miner article and the Olympics thought I'd have a go on HyperSports on the excellent ZX Speccy emulator, Marvin. Love how it connects to WorldOfSpectrum to download the roms.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

    @YenRug

Just picked that up myself. Just as a warning... Uplink and Space Chem only work on tablets.

Haven't had time to try out the games much yet but it's great that you can get the pc versions as well for so little money.

that is quite annoying. only just bought spacechem at the regular price. oh well.

would recommend it to anyone with an android tablet. little fiddly on the nexus but its strengths far outweigh any minor UI annoyances.
