I have never played wow, but if this game gets going, if it is anything like 11, it will be incredibly in depth. But that looks like a big IF at the moment. You would be better off waiting till around the PS3 launch and seeing if they have fixed it up any. I played the beta and it was rough, but there was a good game in there.

Yes it is free to play for the time being on PC, which it should be as the game is pretty much in development still

I would imagine the PS3 version will be out next year still, just much later, probably closer to Christmas than the scheduled spring date. I am not sure how much has been improved since beta, I know they have patched it a lot, but I still would not recommend it just yet. You could play FF11 for twelve months in the meantime, if you are really itching for an mmo. It might be old but it is very good, and it will set you up nicely for 14 should you choose to dip in when they have sorted it out. -
Well I bought this today for £7.99... Thought I might as well. Havn't installed it yet. Does anyone know what kind of state its in now? and is it still free to play?

Registered 4 years agoBest bet is to just check the Lodestone and catch up on the multitude of changes they've either made, or are about to make.
I'm planning to drop back in to this to see how all the patches have affected things; not been on since December. -

More so the people that maybe have not played it in a long time.
It really sound like some good improvements for the game are comming.
However i think it be far from perfect but good step in right direction compared to how it launched. -

Registered 7 years agoSo, both of my sisters are playing this and they're a frequent sight at the living room table with laptops playing the now familiar FF14 music.
Unfortunately for me - one of those laptops is my recently prchased one
. My sister has a computer upstairs but it has no graphics card whatsoever. So, I'm looking into grabbing one for it to free the laptop up again. However, I'm relatively new to graphics cards and all I know is that it runs on a nVidia GEForce 425M (despite failing the FF14 benchmark).
This is a list of recommended cards for the game and I want something relatively cheap but able to run the game. Anyone able to give some advice on what's best?

Registered 5 years agoyea i played for a couple of weeks about a month back and there just wasnt enough to do. was very pretty, but idk, it just seemed kinda unfinished.
only cost 2.49 off amazon so I'd say it was good value though

I'm interested in seeing the changes they made. Though I hope it's less of a madhouse. I still prefer final fantasy to be a single player adventure, however I will end up trying it regardless.
