Those cunts at GAME have put the price of the Ps4 version up to 50 from 45 last week.

I really hope they go back into Administration ASAP

GAME are scum pure and simple. I feel rage even walking past one of their shops.

I had a nosy in a store around xmas. Selling PS4 solus consoles with 3-4 games and dvds just to loosely claim its a bundle and charging 600 to gullible parents...

Plus selling killzone etc for 60 when asda/tesco had them in store for 46-47 on average. Pure scumbags

I wouldnt spend 1p in a GAME store.

I think you're being a bit harsh on game. Supermarkets can afford to sell items at loss to get people into the store and buy other products. Places like Game can't really do this. Yeah they're more expensive than others, such as Asda or Amazon, but there's reason beyond that (bricks and mortar vs Internet overheads, etc). It's not just Game laughing all the way to the administrators. They sell products at the RRP, they don't add a tenner onto something just because they're assholes.

And selling a consoles with games IS a bundle. No 'loosely' about it.

I must say i hugely enjoyed this game. Finished it the other day. I haven't played it on any other platform but it was a joy on PS4. Capped 30fps better my ass... It was stunning and smooth as butter the whole way through.

Going to go ahead and say if you haven't played this before, its the best game out on PS4 right now, in my opinion!

@CosmicFuzz Yup. It's a bit weird raging at them too. 'They' haven't fucked your little sister.

I don't class adding the man of steel dvd or some other tat as a bundle.

Thoroughly enjoying playing this again, graphics don't make a game, does help with immersion though.

I even forgot some parts from my 360 play through which makes it feel all fresh again

I quite fancy playing this again but don't really want to spend over 25 for the pleasure. If any of you are done with it and fancy moving it on, give me a shout.

    The 60 or 30fps version?

    ... I don't have either, sorry!

I'm not sure why TR is so rated.

It's a collection of small levels with the occasional triggered shootout.

It's littered with collectibles that serve no purpose other than to make you not realise you could clear the average level in 2 minutes. Climb here, shoot this idiot prompts everywhere. The Tombs are a joke, 1 room and one obvious puzzle, cleared in a couple of minutes at most.

It felt like game design 1.0. Everything about this game has been done a to a game design template. It was basic game design by the numbers.

I had to laugh watching the making of videos you unlock. They take the story and acting so seriously, then create Lara's face so only the mouth and eyeballs move. Leaving her unable to show any emotion at all, she has the same expressionless but super smooth face the entire game.

I loved the early TR games, and I only bought this because their aren't many PS4 games around yet and people kept saying it was good, but I don't rate it. I wouldn't buy another TR game.

Each to their own I thought it was excellent on current gen and even better on next gen with extra polish.

The story was good and the overall gameplay was great.

Yea I really enjoyed it. It was very easy in both the combat and puzzles but it played well, the story was above average and it looked stunning.

I'm enjoying it but it is very much by the numbers. Graphics on PS4 are very nice.

Got sick of the 'fire' level, just how many burning corridors does a game need. The story is utter tosh though.

It's not there, or you're imagining it or plain lying about playing the game. So many commentators have pointed out that that particular scene wasn't what the rumours held it to be. Even Anita Sarkeesian was positive about it. You're quite welcome to pretend otherwise though.

Oh, and going back to your original post:

Only if you imagine it that way. The game makes no such implication.

    spleendonkey wrote:

Only if you imagine it that way. Drake seems more bashed up in UC2 and 3. The lead character getting roughed up, yet surviving, is pretty common in videogames.

Your imagination seems to have run riot with this game, whether you played it or not.

Just noticed this is going on for a fiver at GMG with a promo code. Game of the Year Edition - with all the dlc.

So is multiplayer really as bad as they say it is? Looks like Uncharted online to me, no? Anyone know if they updated it later on to allow hip firing and made any other improvements?

    Looks like Uncharted online, yes.

... plays like it, no. It is much worse and was swiftly abandoned (by the developers and fans alike) mere months after the game had come out.

Hmmmm. Not sure about this at all.

It doesn't feel like a Tomb Raider game. Way too many QTEs and the gash bloody story just won't shut up. I just want to raid some bloody tombs....

Uncharted is Uncharted. I don't see why they felt the need to copy it so...

    ...maybe it will improve.

Finally got round to finishing this at the weekend. Actually a brilliant game, once you get over the fact that it isn't really a Tomb Raider one. I think pound for pound I preferred it to the Uncharteds, even though it borrowed heavily from them. The big sequences weren't as bombastic but generally I found it better balanced and the combat was hugely superior.

It played well enough but the enormous gulf in voice acting, story, characters and charm alongside the QTE make it clearly inferior to the Uncharteds to me.

I tend to be flicking around on my phone during cut-scenes and such anyway. Even the best games in that respect are vastly inferior to the films and books they are painfully derivative of. The actual game bits of Tomb Raider were better than Uncharted for me, so I really couldn't give a toss if the voice acting was worse.
