Been listening to the cover of Gimme Shelter from the final episode loads and loads. Almost as good as the original!

    Indeed.

They don't do opening/closing episodes by half, do they? :D

Kurt Sutter, yeah. He was one of the main writers for The Shield, SoA is his baby.

He played the foot-chopping Armenian hitman Dezerian (in The Shield), he also plays 'ten per cent vision' Son of Anarchy Otto.

was it the cleaner guy? i thought i recognised him... no?

you'll be full of misery when you finally realise who It is. Frankly I'd have thought that recognising him was one of those needful things.

No, but with Bravo closing down it will probably end up on Five USA, unless FX pitch in for the pay rights...

Just finished the streams of S3 myself. Wow, certainly a rocky road. The Belfast stuff seemed to be a typical twee US version, but it just about scraped past. Now, when's S4.....?

Shows to be preserved include Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Chuck, Leverage, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Star Trek, TNA Wrestling, Sun, Sea and A & E, Motorway Patrol, Highway Patrol and Caribbean Cops.
source..But what about SoA? I want to continue following this! :( (yay, for Leverage being safe, though :D f'in love that show. All those will move on to Sky-owned channels before Bravo closes on Jan 1.)

the Oirish and Norn Iron accents were incredibad, and the plot has been laughable.

This season was a bit ropey tbh. The entire Irish thing was very poorly done, i was borderline offended by how ill informed some parts of it were..

Just found out FBI bitch is 49. She's changed my opinion on older women. She was hot as fuck.

I hated this season. After the first two it feels like Sutter's resting on his laurels and indulging in a half-baked revenge fantasy. And the 'haha we tricked you' bullshit plot twists were childish. Oh look Tara's dead... oh no she she's not!! Oh look, Jax is a rat and SAMCRO are gonna kill him... not really!!

Perlman was massively under-used, Jax's scrunchy face makes me want to smash the telly and some of the dialogue is laughable.

And why they couldn't use actual Irish/Ulster actors for the scenes in Belfast... I mean, I really like Titus Welliver in Deadwood, but in this he's been hilariously miscast. Where the fuck is Liam Neeson when you need him? Or Gabriel Byrne... or Brendan Gleeson. Or, God help us, James Nesbitt.

Fuck it, hope season 4 makes amends.

My step son has acquired every episode of this and from this page of comments...I'm a bit iffy on whether to watch it or not...is season 3 that bad?

The reason I ask is that a friend gave me every episode of 24, saying it's the best series ever...I got bored 3 episodes into 'Day 3', although I may of just been 24'd out.

It's worth a watch, but other than the fist pumpingly satisfying ending, it's not as good as the first two series. Better than 90% of the shit on UK TV though.
24's a weird one. As you said, try to watch too many in a row and you'll 24 yourself out. Me and my other half did all 8 seasons throughout 2010, just finishing up the last few episodes now. You definitely need a couple of weeks break before starting a new season. And we watch it as an action comedy, it's sooo stupidly OTT, I don't see how you can watch it as anything else.:)

Well I suppose it can't hurt!

Thanks! I may even give 24 another chance..."may"

Seen up to Episode 10 of S3, really went off the rails in "Belfast". The accents were just so awful and everything is just one big cliche of Ireland. Dreadful. Hoping it pulls it round for the last few episodes -up until that point it had been business as usual. Still love it though

So employ a few Irish actors, there are no doubt plenty of them! The plot is so-so but that's not really what's bothered me.
