Quick... Might be... I'm of the opinion that it's a crap clue. It could be any surname that ends in K that sounds vaguely speed-related. -

Re the first, RHODES is the place you say (or 'are lead to') if you say 'roads'.LB, you really are a massive geek.

Think that its some play on 'este' which is the Spanish version of the er or erm pause in English speech and Siesta (afternoon nap)
