I still play it regularly. Often several times a week. I have a couple of created levels about half finished and feel like I have the hang of create mode. My biggest problem is time - I work full time and have two young kids so I really struggle to get the time to concentrate on finishing my creations.

It's worth pointing out that with all the updates released thus far, create mode is far more stable and user-friendly than it was when the game was first released. Plus there are HEAPS of amazing community levels now. The creators have just got better and better and there are some real masterpieces available.

This new patch will make my life MUCH easier. Especially the ability to flip objects. I hope those of you who have moved on can get back into it at some point as it really is very much worth it.

Any particular community levels you'd recommend Roddy?

Oh yeah, lots and lots. Anything by Lleonard is a good place to start; The Harp of Seasons, Garden of Golden Apples, The Shipwreck of Captain Skull... other great levels just off the top of my head (by various creators) are A New Hop, The Empire's Striped Snack, Colossal Calamity, Scorching Scamper, Calamity Construction, Star Wars: Tie in the Sky, Armgadder, The Interwebs, Apollo 13.5: Sacks in Space, Curses, ZEN, Bird of Paradise, Now and Then, Pirates of the Carob Bean...

Those are just the ones I can remember right now - there are many, many more great ones. I might try to compile a more organised list at some point.

Just bought this yesterday. Very impressed with it. I'll certainly pick it up if I buy a PS3, which I'm trying to stop doing at the moment.

Downloaded a few of those levels Roddy100 mentioned. I don't think I'll ever make anything half as good as some of those.

Amazing what some people can do with the tools.

Have you downloaded the latest updates Dave? They iron out most of the initial bugs and annoyances.

DLC for a UK game using a US account. Can I use the US store or the UK store?

I think that a UK game needs UK DLC (i.e. DLC is region locked to the game). Certainly the case on PS3.

LBP Turbo pack coming this month.

Anyone know anything about it? Are we getting new levels, or just crappy costumes and stickers?

    If it's levels, it's an insta-buy for me :)

Flying_Pig, have you downloaded the trailer for the Turbo pack from the PS Store? Looks quite impressive - particularly the tank levels.

Out this week apparently and contains this: "6 Levels, 121 Collected Objects, 28 CREATE Materials, 112 Stickers, 20 Sounds, 6 Music files, and 1 Background." Says on the US PSblog that it'll cost $5,99.

    Nice!

I still play this. Never touch create mode personally, but playing downloaded levels really suits bitesize gaming on the move.

Very ambitious for a portable too, I suspect it doesn't get the enormous credit it deserves.

I've been doing a level since release. Just one. And as much as I like it, it's a bit shit. I'm no good at this level design lark.

That Turbo Pack looks decent though, depending on what the stuff is.

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

I'm too busy finishing off Jeanne D'Arc at the moment, I also keep losing my nub which renders playing this very difficult!

Hoping to pick it up again. Bit of a shame to read about the DLC needing the UK account. Its blatantly too much of a faff for me to bother with as I keep my machine on a US account.

Would be nice if you could use LBP PSP as a scratch pad for the PS3 LBP2, get some bare bones of a level made to export.

Agree, but I can't see it happening.

Unfortunately I've just got too much happening on PSP front at the moment (Jeanne D'Arc is up after I finish Test Drive Unlimited (Surprisingly Good) and ModNation Racers (also very decent)) to really get back in to LBP :(

The Turbo Pack is really nice - lovely vehicle-based levels, and not just about racing! Well worth the £4 or so!

If anyone is interested we just started our first PSP Level Create competition. You can win one of five super rare stickers. They are in fact the first five to be given away anywhere. :)

So there are actually level packs that have MM made levels available now?

Well, they probably not made by MM considering that the game was by Studio Cambridge, but yeah there are professionally made levels.

And these user made levels are also good (apparently)

There are 5 pretty decent levels in the Turbo pack - all focussed around vehicles with mixed results. Well worth buying though.

I don't think any of you really care at this point, but there won't be any more DLC for this
