Get PS+ now, "buy" the games but don't download them.

    Win/win.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

Definately join now and put them in your download list. But if you had to choose i'd say TWA.

So if I was going to buy just one psn game out of sound shapes and Thomas was alone what would be the better choice?

I know twa is on ps+ but I'm going to wait until I get a bigger card before rejoining
The correct answer is Sound Shapes

Thomas Was Alone is cute. But it's not challenging, and is a little style over substance.

Sound Shapes has some moments of genuine genius. Play it loud, in low lighting.

    Quick question.

I have LBPVITA downloaded but will be getting the physical copy. When I insert the physical copy does it override the downloaded version thus freeing up the memory the downloaded version uses??

@PeacockDreams if you can back the save up to the cloud. Then delete, insert cart and re-download save.

I thought the vita might do something clever like just free up the memory the download version takes up but that sounds like the most logical solution

    Gawd, I only went and done it despite saying I wouldn't. 60 quid for 32GB of storage ;_;

Not that I particularly wanted it, but the free FIFA download from Amazon was just enough of a sweetener. It's something. The final straw was wanting to download the Soul Sacrifice demo and being told NO because I had one Vita game, one PSP game, and... uh, those DoA5 gravure videos on there. NO MORE!

Btw, anyone played the PSP Black Rock Shooter game? The animetard in me is interested but, well, Imageepoch :-|

I'm tempted to get that as my next PSP game when I've finished Corpse Party: Book of Shadows (er, got a little distracted by Etrian Odyssey 4). The comments I've seen people make seem to be: 'great story, shame about the combat' and 'great combat, shame about the story', which is frankly rather confusing. :p

I saw that amazon deal, did you end up with the code for Fifa 13 instead of the first one like I saw lots saying on hotukdeals?

Just a quick update on why I got such a big customs charge on Soul Hackers from VGP (about half the price of game+postage), since a couple of people in this thread asked me about it.

VGP have said that customs opened the package and added "39.99" to the front. Assuming the next person in the system either thought it was £39.99 or added the $15 and 39.99 together to get it over the £36 threshold.

So you should be fine unless customs gets over zealous, but maybe keep a chunk of money aside just in case.

I only ordered today and chose tightarse delivery (look after the pennies...) and because Amazon won't send the code until they post the card, it'll be a couple of days before I know for certain. All the HUKD'ers who availed themselves of the offer have said it's FIFA 13, though.

just bought the first one from the swapsies thread but was seriously tempted to make an order for 13

as much crap it got I was very surprised how close it was with the console version, really hoping they do 14 justice with cross saving!

I've enjoyed the Vita version more than the full fat one for some reason...

Really hoping this alleged PSP sale shows up soon.

I think fifa 13 is good but don't think it really compares to the full version feels like slighty upgraded psp version to me, it's like fifa 11 gameplay wise imo.I would love to see more deep story based games on vita like The last of us and beyond maybe not possible but they did a scaled down uncharted.

Anyone know of the best Vita deal atm? Tempted to grab one for a likely hospital stay. Also if anyone has the 3G model, how is skype?

Last I used it on the Vita, Skype didn't allow for text messaging at all, only voice. That, however, worked excellent over 3G.

thanks, that kinda sucks, wanted it primarily for text. I guess my crappy old HTC wildfire will have to do for that. Still interested in getting a Vita though if anyone knows any good deals. Any game recommendations would be welcome too, anything that can eat a lot of time. Particularly RPG's or strategy games. Already going to get persona 4 if I can find a Vita cheap enough.

@Spectral - Argos have the 3G Vita, LBP + 4GB card for £200, which isn't a bad deal. The Wi-Fi model is more expensive at the moment. Game have the Wi-Fi model plus one of several games and a 4GB card for £190, but be aware that the game is a download and so will use up most of the space on the card straight away. I have the 3G model, but have only used the 3G to get Wipeout 2048 for free with a £5 Vodafone topup.

Thanks. The NFS bundle at game is tempting. I'll probably end up with a bigger card anyway as I've had a PS+ for a while and have been making sure to redeem the vita stuff just in case I ever got one. I think I'll go wifi only as I only wanted 3G for skype and if that is voice only its of no real use to me.

Better check the Skype thing first, it may have changed in the past few months.

Although from my personal experience, the 3G is superfluous. I generally just make a wifi hotspot on my phone for it.

Also, I don't know how it's in the UK, but over here 3G downloads from the store are limited to 20 MB which makes its use very limited.

@dominalien Yeah other than skype 3G seems pointless. I'm on payg for my mobile so tethering would be expensive. I was planning on sticking in one of those giffgaff unlimited data sims and use the 3G on the vita just for skype and syncing trophies, etc. Unfortuneately tethering is against the T&C for the giffgaff sims.

Unlimited data seems like a total waste on the Vita. You'll hardly be able to make use of it. Maybe there's something else with lots of data you could use that doesn't forbid tethering?

@Spectral - Games-wise, you seem to have the basis covered, if you've been getting the PS+ games and already have your eye of P4G.

    NFS is excellent also.

You'd do well to look at the PSN titles too - Mutant Blobs Attack, Guacamelee, Motorstorm RC, Soundshapes and Super Stardust Delta are all brilliant.

not that I could find. The problem seems to be the options are unlimied or ridiculously low usage limits. Skype alone would eat 250MB in not very long.

I think something like 500 mb per month would be OK for the Vita.

edit: but then I guess that would depend on how much Skype you'd be using for voice.
