England look to be getting desperate already!

Mind you, not as desperate as Italy at scrumhalf....

There's a Fantasy League here, if anyone wants to set up an EG league. I haven't made my team yet to do it myself, the deadline to make teams is Saturday at 3pm.

This thread is neglected. Merlinho: You're a Welsh fan: Who is your preferred half back combination? I tend to go for Philips/Jones for when it really matters, but as Hook is a port talbot boy and is great to watch I hope we give him a run out for some of the easier games, like England.

Going up to Murrayfield this Sunday and also have tickets for the last game vs ireland, hopefully the Grand Slam decider! Can't wait.

Only thing is, what fuckwit scheduled Wales vs England for Valentines day?

Ha yes, a lot of people will be in trouble a week Saturday. My housemate has tickets for the game, his missus isn't happy, particularly because he also went to the Australia game on their anniversary, dedication, and he's English!

Anyway, I'm backing Jones/Phillips at the moment too. Hook is a lot more exciting, but just at the moment, doesn't quite have the consistency to be first choice. I really hope he comes good though because when on form, he can do a lot more than Jones. For scrum half, I have to support Cooper, as he's a Bridgend (well Pencoed) boy, but you can't really look beyond Phillips. It'll be interesting to see if Henson plays and performs at all this year, considering the amount of rugby he's played in the last 12 months.

I've made a EG fantasy league now guys, the pincode is 6532 and you can even do a lucky dip so don't miss out!

In a controversial move, I've gone for Andy (not so) Goode at fly half...

Back to back grandslams, c'mon the Welsh!

I'd stick with Phillips/Hook personally, although I've seen they've already gone for Jones. Hook is a much more rounded 10 now, and has surpassed Jones with his placekicking IMO. Added to the fact he plays with Phillips at club level also. Halfpenny may do some kicking on Sunday I think.

I think we may get surprised by the Scots on Sunday, but scrape through in the end.

I manages to miss EVERY game last year, but I'm gonna try to get excited. It is certainly one of the most competitive events in the calendar, with no clear favorite and only one team with no realistic chance of winning - sorry Italy, but...

Yeah, it was pretty good. England won through gross Italian balls-ups. The Irish game was a little more dramatic though.

Colour me very surprised about how good Ireland were! I had them battling it out with Italy and the Scots for the Wooden Spoon. In retrospect it'll probably be the English in the bottom half; that peformance yesterday was woeful \o/ .

    Anyway, COME ON SCOTLAND!

To be fair, this is a strong an all-round performance from Wales as I've seen in a while. We've gone off the boil a little in the last 10 mins now the match is out of your reach, but the first half was awesome, so many players on their game.
