Good point. She may well be happier being a roving pitlane reporter.
Well assuming she still is as Suzy's the only one confirmed so far.

Whether she wanted it or not Lee McKenzie > Suzi Perry.

Having read and listened to a lot of seasonal reviews, it's almost embarrassing for Vettel how few experts said he deserved the title. He still has a lot of people to convince it seems. Nice guy though!

Pointless even discussing it though. Until he's in a team with either Hamilton or Alonso it'll always happen. Alonso's PR is untouchable and as Hamilton beat him that one year Alonso will never be able to say he's not up to his level.

In the mean time, Vettel has three world championships and probably doesn't care too much what the also rans have to say. ;)

I'd say it's more until Vettel wins a championship without a massive car advantage.

Precisely. Ignoring the fact that F1 is almost never won by a driver with just an OK car. (Unless the fast cars have utterly horrible reliability)

If you are talking about when they were at McLaren I think they both finished on the same points.

True, same number of wins too, but the history books will show Lewis beat him courtesy of 5 second places to Fernando's 4.

Not to mention one of them was in his first ever season of f1, the other the contemporaneous double world champion. Already impatient for feb to come around. Last season was good, but there was too much random shit happening with the top guys for me. If there was a chance to have three cars in a team, shouldn't they do it even if purely for the increased chances of vettel, Hamilton and alonso all in the same team?!

I think Hamilton has a lot of talent but if anything age and experience has diminished his ability. His talent is quite raw and unquestionable but his mindset is all over the place. For me Alonso has kicked on from his time at McLaren, he hasn't won another world title but he is probably the most flawless of all the drivers on the field, Hamilton will have to do some serious improving (and so will Mercedes) to regain his previous stature.

On the other hand, I think Vettel is a pretty damn good driver too and I still can't grasp why people think otherwise.

That's a bit if an outdated view of Hamilton in my view. 2011 seems to have fundamentally damaged how people view him unfortunately. Hamilton was fantastic last season I think, barely a foot out of place (on the track at least, and I'm old school enough to only really care about that) and easily up there with alonso. With a more reliable car and a less incredibly shit team at the start of the season he would have won the champs at a canter I reckon.

I can only assume Nico has a massive drink problem to keep coming out with statements like this :D

It's the time of year for guff like that to come out of the teams sadly.
Right up till after the 1st race when most of them quietly forget their predictions of progress, dominance etc.

I've just done my annual tradition of a beer and the Autosport quiz for my Christmas morning quiet time.

    You scored 20/50 (40.00%).

    F1 only: 6/12 (50.00%).

    Non-F1: 14/38 (36.84%).

Glock has left Marussia, so yet another pay driver will be announced soon no doubt.

Real shame for Glock and Marussia. For all the faults they never really roamed around with the begging bowl and having Glock on their team showed they wanted to be taken seriously instead of a pay driver retirement home.

In fact the new teams definitely come across as more professional than Jordan or Minardi did in their later years.

75 days until the first MotoGP. April 7th can't come soon enough.

Can't wait to see Tech3 or Team RoastBeef now they have Cal and Bradders riding for them.

    This signature intentionally left blank.

Yeah hopefully T3 will have a competitive bike again. Be great to see Cal..or both picking up the odd podium again.

Also more good news, Kubica is too test a DTM car soon.

I'm afraid I find it odd that McRae is still thought of as a hero when you think how he died, the whole thing was pretty sordid.

First (sort of) major racing event of the season starting up now. Daytona 24hrs. Kind of le-mans lite with a few drivers you might have heard of.

Proper race is that. The depth of talent with the NASCAR and Indycar boys riding around with the usual sportscar and journeymen racers is amazing really.

The DPs might not be legit prototypes but they produce some decent racing, personally can't wait for next year when P2s can race at Daytona.

Was there any reason given as to why the Colin McRae programme wasn't show at Christmas as scheduled. I wonder If it may have been in relation to the sensitivities of his death and who he took with him and the time of year.
