    I stupidly forgot my best mate was watching the Chelsea vs City game and recording the F1 and I rang him up after Vettel's incident on lap 1 with "Alonso's won it then", he rather angrily hung up on me. :-)

    He'll get a surprise at least, the footie was poor anyway (I had it running on my PC) so he made the wrong choice in the first place.

    Congrats to Seb, really didn't think he was going to do it.

    Amazing race, one of the best I've witnessed, only marred slightly by the horrible anti-climax with the safety car, and also not getting the championship result I wanted.

    Felipe crying. He's driven his socks off these past few races. Alonso still holding himself together. Drivers conference will be a bit emotional.

    Also, that pass under yellow on Koba should have at least been investigated, instead of just outright dismissing it.

    What a race. It'll take me a while to recover. Deserved for Seb, his laps after the spin were awesome.

    Thought it was written in the stars for Alonso today, needed Vettel to have a shit first lap, needed that safety car, needed that Hulk Smash. Things kept happening. What a race.

    Credit to Massa today, seemed to spend a lot of the race not going slowing down, still finished right up there.

    Great season that. Alonso has nothing to be ashamed of, he had an absolutely immense season. Him, along with Kimi and Hamilton are absolutely streets ahead of the rest. I hope all three get a car capable of properly challenging the Red Bulls next year. Hopefully we get another belter in 2013!

    If the crash had happened to any other car, I reckon they would have had to retire. What has Newey put in that car?! Congrats Vettel, although I hope he has a shut car next year.

    The last three races were fantastic. To think we were all on a downer for a few races.

    Frack me even bahrain and valencia were good races. Can't wait to next season. Countdown!

    So damn disappointing for Hamilton. Again, not his fault - story of his year. As a driver he has been absolutely perfect all year, happy with consistency rather than being frustrated at not winning, picking himself up after all those issues at the beginning of the season.

    With Alonso wavering at the end of the season, and Vettel being the luckiest son a bitch in any sport (I know there's plenty of Vettel fans here, but come on!), I'd happily put Hamilton at the top of the pile this year ahead of Alonso.

    I think Hamilton was unlucky mostly this season rather than it being his fault a lot of the time the previous one. Fantastic race bring on next year!

    What a great race.

    I even managed to win a few quid with Kimi finishing in the top three on a bet I placed before the season even started. Finally having faith in someone paid off!

    Not so convinced my predictor score will be any good this round mind...

    Only mistakes I can remember Hamilton making all season were going too deep against webber on the last lap in India, and going too deep against him again once in Austin. Pretty much flawless apart from that, bar thinking that Maldonado had the wheel to wheel skill of a top 6 driver...

    Vettel is OK. I quite like him. He can be a bit whiny and childish, especially in the heat of the moment, but once he's taken a bit of time, he always seems like a decent enough bloke.

    I can't really think of anyone in F1 I properly dislike. I just like a good hard fought season or race.

    The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

    They're all live on Radio 5, the TV deal is still the same as far as I know.
