Witcher 2 is one of the best RPG's I ever played. But: either the story and characters grab you completely or you probably won't get much out of it I reckon.
All the other RPG elements are very good too, don't get me wrong, but the story is what really sells it.

For what it's worth: I never fully completed the first one (though I did play well beyond the 10 hour mark) yet I've finished this twice already and have an ongoing third playthrough.

I'm at that point whereby I'm looking at Alan Wake, Legend of Grimlock, and Witcher 2, and hovering over the add to cart button. They are cracking bargains. But I have so much that I've not yet played in my collection that I know I want get around to any of them before the Christmas sale comes around.

So that's my first world problem. Thank you for listening.

    @INSOMANiAC

Slightly more expensive, but I can vouch for these guys:

    Got Borderlands 2 from them.

They look dodgier than GMG! Read the AC3 thread, it's hardly must-have-now, anyway. :p

I don't see enough people buying enough games. Please make sure you all buy:

    Orcs Must Die! 2
    Legend of Grimrock
    Something Alan Wakey
    The Witcher 2
    Bastion
Tropico 4 (if you don't already have Tropico 3)
    Batman: Arkham City
    Secret of the Magic Crystals
    Coconut Queen

    Did I miss anything..?

The problem with buying Uplay keys is that there's no way to activate a key without first installing the game (which is ridculous of course). The CD key sites seem to be hinting that you need to sort that out for yourself, presumably by installing a dodgy version but not cracking it...

Lastly, I am gay, disabled, and a liberal.

You can plug them straight into the UPlay client (presuming it's installed). That's what I did with From Dust when I got it off Gamefly.

EDIT: Actually, thinking about it, From Dust was already in my UPlay account. I guess it detected the purchase somehow, maybe because it was sold under the same email account. Same thing happened with uPlay compatible games on Steam - they just appeared in the client after buying them on Steam. So yeah, you're probably right with regards to buying keys off some dodgy site.

Woot came through a steam sale and bought nothing!

Well I did buy gods and kings and spec ops the line, but that wasn't technically on steam... It just came with steam codes.... That's ok right? Right?!

Same - though I did already have most of the things that were of interest. The christmas sale is the one that'll violate my wallet; starts on December 20th.

    I'm a grumpy bastard.

    Dragon Age UE: 5.99
    Rage: 3.24
    KOTOR 2: 1.74

Not bad for just over a tenner, I think this was my most chilled out Steam Sale yet. Was veyr tempted to get Batman GOTY but DA filled my 'games I've already completed multiple times' quota.

Was also tempted to get Torchlight 2 but decided to wait for the winter sale for that one.

Depends if you have massive Counterstrike nostalgia. Personally, have never enjoyed the game.

I've been pretty restrained with my buying this time but that's partly because if I'm unsure I'll think meh it'll probably be avaliable as cheap or cheaper in a months time.

I spent only 26 quid. Bought:

    Sonic Generations
    Sonic CD
    Sonic 4 Ep 1
    Mark of the Ninja
    Torchlight 2
    Orcs Must Die 2

Not a bad haul. Been wanting to try those sonic games for a while and at a few quid each I'm sure I wont mind if they are rubbish.

Max Payne 3, Spec Ops (Gamersgate), Deadlight, Dishonored (GMG) and Hotline Miami.

Not the cheapest sale haul ever but I'm satisfied with the savings. Now to continue the sale tradition of never playing them...
