    There are few more imaginative and fleshed-out universes than the 40k one. Dune maybe. Contrived straightforward utopias like the Culture and Star Trek lag far behind.

    Yes, there is the cliche of 'yet another space marine shoot 'em up', but now it's actually here!

    I'd assume it's Ultramarines only. With seemingly prerendered cut scenes a-plenty I doubt they'd do them in various different coliur schemes.

    The Ultramarines are a placeholder, they've not announced what chapter you play as yet.

    Should be fairly simple to have multiple chapters with stat changes, I'd have thought. Not much needs to change for the base model. Lightning Claws / Space wolves for close combat and so on.

    The trailer makes it look like it is a bit story driven though. I doubt they'd rework that to work with multiple chapters.

    Mass Effect says that could work. Although I'd agree you'd need different artwork for alternate Chapter intros, no reason you couldn't receive instructions / guidance etc from a generic Imp Guard Commissar or some such.

    I always quite liked the White Scars. The Ultramarines are too much like the school prefects of the Space Marine world.

    That's just asking for a fight.

    It would be nice if they could work in multiple chapters, I won't hold my breath though. Either way, this looks ace. Is there a date for it at all?

    I just put £450 worth of models in the GW website cart, got as far as putting in my card details then closed the page.
