Registered 7 years agoThere are few more imaginative and fleshed-out universes than the 40k one. Dune maybe. Contrived straightforward utopias like the Culture and Star Trek lag far behind.LB, you really are a massive geek.

Not a first for Relic - remember The Outfit?
I'm trying to ignore the fact that a long time PC developer can't be arsed to port it over, but I'd buy it on the 360 anyway so meh

Well, at least on PC I don't think they have. -

Me too! And it's instantly gone into my list of games to look out for.
I can't believe this utterly passed me by.
This looks really, really good. I've always liked 40K's aesthetics, and the game sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
Also, 40K Space Marines are badass - I'm pretty much fed up with the gruff blokes that populate most shooters these days, but "proper" Games Workshop Space Marines will always be cool. -

Yes, there is the cliche of 'yet another space marine shoot 'em up', but now it's actually here!

I am rather excited. I shall enjoy this feeling before they inevitably crush my soul by removing co-op 3 months before release. If you can see this, you're an idiot.

Registered 8 years agoWonder if we have to play as the ultramarines, or can we choose our own chapter to represent. -

Registered 9 years agoI'd assume it's Ultramarines only. With seemingly prerendered cut scenes a-plenty I doubt they'd do them in various different coliur schemes. -

Registered 7 years agoShould be fairly simple to have multiple chapters with stat changes, I'd have thought. Not much needs to change for the base model. Lightning Claws / Space wolves for close combat and so on.LB, you really are a massive geek.

Registered 9 years agoThe trailer makes it look like it is a bit story driven though. I doubt they'd rework that to work with multiple chapters. -

Registered 7 years agoMass Effect says that could work. Although I'd agree you'd need different artwork for alternate Chapter intros, no reason you couldn't receive instructions / guidance etc from a generic Imp Guard Commissar or some such.LB, you really are a massive geek.

Registered 9 years agoI always quite liked the White Scars. The Ultramarines are too much like the school prefects of the Space Marine world.

White Scars are the fat bikers of the 40k world. It'd be like stepping into the shoes of that couple of Geordies.
Ha'way, Ah'm gonna just lightly fricassé this carnifex, pet.
Geek attack - Space Marines wouldn't take orders from commissars innit. I'm just being anal though.Quoted

Registered 9 years agoThat's just asking for a fight.
It would be nice if they could work in multiple chapters, I won't hold my breath though. Either way, this looks ace. Is there a date for it at all? -

I just put £450 worth of models in the GW website cart, got as far as putting in my card details then closed the page.
