You do realise that there about a billion chinese /facepalming right now thinking I can't believe they had the fucking bell girls and blokes swinging from the rafters playing massive drums

I expect our opening ceremony to at least include a King George riding a massive tartan leak.

We're going to need a cheap deal on roman candles to beat those fireworks.

They could've matched the sky shots with the stadium ones at least.

We should have guys in top hats and monocles sipping cups of tea while chimney sweeps dance like coked-up chimps.

If we draw from all our mythology it'd be cool.

The Chinese stuff drew from bollocks symbolism and their own mythology.

Our performance was more 'first impressions of London as sketched onto the back of a moist beermat by a fourteen year old'.

A bit like our Olympic logo then.

And Mary Poppins with an umbrella, flying up on a wire to light the flame.

The focus in London 2012 will be on urban youth culture, hence the graffiti-style logo and what we saw in that handover presentation.

This, by the way, would be the same urban youth culture that just saw another teenager getting stabbed to death this morning (which also lead to the cancellation of a street party to celebrate the handover). Yep, definitely something to celebrate there.

The camera didn't even follow Blue Shorts Girl off the bus, instead the stopped to interview Beckham.

That's wicked. I love that he was so panicked that he obviously clenched, preventing it from leaping skywards!

Well enough with that! Especially that jibe at that "Indian" girl. She's British. Get over it.

I know it was a joke, just hit a little too close to home.

    Come and get it cumslingers!

We should copy the Beijing closing ceremony exactly but do it on the cheap, Blue Peter-style.

    "London! London! blahblahLondon!"

Apart from a giant knife that plunges into the stadium through a huge papier-mache baseball cap at the end, that can be our twist.

I can't wait to see our yummy track and field girls and Becky Adlington again, I hope the BBC keeps showing these minority sports and not make us wait another 4 years.

Was just watching the closing ceremony (recorded) and when Boris walks up to the stage you can just see people saying "Who is this clown?".

    \o/

Should have used a stand in like the Chinese used for their singing girl.

Cuh, so it's taboo to say anything against indians but people with boats on their face is fine now is it.
