    I've done parachuting, bungee jumping and abseiling, and I'm still utterly fucking horrified by those vids.

    The difference in all of my experiences was that I was essentially safe barring a very unlikely mishap. They on the other hands are all essentially fucked barring some particularly good luck. ;)

    Edit - so that's a blindspot trick, or soni think. Your brain fills in the part of each image that you can't see because of the optic nerve at the back of the eyeball. I think it fills it in using surrounding information. Pretty amazing.
