    Going to try here tonight:

    http://www.burgerac.com/2013/07/disco-bistro-n1c-burger.html

All the pictures from the page only load up in my mobile browser for some reason, but it looks the nuts even though I'm slightly baffled by the pineapple bacon jam!

That does look FUCKING AWESOME! Enjoy! Let us know how it turns out!

    I want burger now :-(

Sorry Bob! Did you get all the pictures through? It looks immense on the bite through and I'm definitely getting some wings and a hard shake. It was my wife suggested we go out for a burger, one of the reasons I love her so!

Those wings look good and agreed it does look a bit of a mouthfull. Sounds like my other half lol

Have you tried the winger winger chicken dinner wings at Patty & Bun? Those are the best wings ( apart from mine :-P ) I have tasted. And yeah I saw the pics.

    Gross, that burger is rare!
Nothing wrong with that! It's defiantly the way to go, although I would prefer medium rare for a burger. I'll meet you half way and say I do prefer medium rare :-)

On a side note. I may not have a burger ( hot dogs tonight ) but I do have a 40 day dry aged ale fed dexter rib eye steak turning up tomorrow. Hell yes! 600g of pure beef steak heaven.

@wobbly_Bob any tips on buns? No pun intended.

I've had about 4 attempts making brioche buns in the stand mixer and theyre never quite springy or light enough.  Maybe I need to reduce the bun to burger ratio..

Sound like you may need more yeast in the starter.

Bread isn't easy to do well and needs a lot of practice. Brioche is very intensive work wise and even harder to make well. The last time I made brioche buns I cheated a bit and used this and the results were really good. I'm not sure where else sells them though, maybe Waitrose. Apparently M&S do really good brioche burger rolls if you don't want to make them yourself.

*cook* it? Surely you just want to tickle it on a blazing hot griddle for a few moments each side before going at it Neanderthal style!

@Carlo - Then hit my other half over the head and steal hers ;-) That's proper neanderthal style.

/resists pedantic clever clogs streak to point out neanderthals were actually quite sophisticated and thus ruin joke.

    /fails in a way.

@wobbly_Bob Disco Bistro just served me the best burger I've ever eaten. You have to try it mate. It's the hippest place I've ever eaten a burger. A true pop up in the middle of nowhere that looks like a scene out of Tron. Awesome drinks, try the Large Dark 'N' Stormy.

    Location: http://skatekingscross.com/index.php/location

Protip: Go at night at around 7:30/8pm, good ambience and it's the lull before the evening hustle. Get the spicy wings!!!

The first lab grown hamburger made from stem cells is a reality. It does not seem nice. Next stop, Soylent Green!

Here's a burger I made the other week.

    Starting from the bottom:

    Brioche Bun
    Chili Mayo
    Iceberg Lettuce
Two 55g patties, 5% fat morrisons mince briefly blended
A slice of melted Emmental cheese on top of each patty
    Crisped streaky smoked bacon
    Slice of Tomato
    Slice of Red Onion

    Tomato sauce optional :)

@riz23 It looked overcooked to Hell. When it was cut into, it appeared to have the texture of cardboard.

    @El_MUERkO

Chili mayo? Never heard of that, but I like the sound of it.

Your burgers look and sound delicious!

My only request would be to take the picture from the side of the burger next time, so we can see every individual layer. :)

I guess you're not gonna cook the world's first stem cell burger rare. I understand the need for new kinds of meat, but burger meat is something special - I need all that delicious juicy fat!

@wobbly_Bob I AM ALIVE!! Apologies for the tardiness of my reply...

Though maybe I won't be alive for too long as I had a Five Guys for lunch and the calorie content of it may lead me to a coronary. It was like a very slightly better Burger King, I won't be going again in a hurry.

Disco Bistro was as good as it looks, the sweet/salt of the pineapple bacon jam works really well in it and the bun is pretty marvellous on it as it's very firm but still light and bouncy, the meat was top quality and cooked to perfection.

The wings were good but not as nice as Patty & Bun's in my opinion!
