If Jesus was a dragon, he could have burnt up the cross, no? And feeding the 5000 would have been no trouble with inbuilt BBQ facilities.

Nice. Can't seem to find it, but I liked the Passion of Christ trailer "directed" by Tarantino.

What's a "traditional" thing to do (or eat/drink) on St. George's Day then?

We like to whine about the fact that it doesn't get as much attention as St. Patrick's Day.

Too right! But then we don't have a brand to push on St Georges day like Guiness. The English hate celebrating anything that's English incase we 'offend' someone. ;)

Maybe we should be selling warm Tetley's with sausage and lumpy mash.

I don't hate celebrating being English, I just don't see why I should get excited about a day that celebrates an alleged vision of a Christian martyr by a bunch of religious zealots involved in a bloody war of hate and oppression.

Call it England Day and I'm right there with my scones and jam.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

The former. If it was the latter, it would no longer be the fastest word in the dictionary.

When will people get over stuff about 'not offending' anyone, as though they don't actually see the flag of St George every bloody day.

If you want to celebrate it, go and bloody do it.

Last fun St George's day experience I had was a drunk racist wanker calling me a Jew and telling me I wasn't English. Fuck that.

    Happy St George's Day England!

And all the other countries that have him as their patron saint...

...which is lots, he's a patronage slut.

What do you do to celebrate the day? Is there a particular cake or something? (I'm welsh, and spend St David's Day eating welsh cakes and drinking St David's Ale) I'm happy to celebrate yours as well. For Cake (And possibly science) :)

I met a dragon on Sunday. He was big and orange, he didn't breathe any fire but smoke came out of his nose from time to time.

He had a very jolly laugh as well.

    I totally called it.

St George is some papist white knighting clap trap isn't it?

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.
