Hatton says the main reason he's doing this is for "redemption".

So what will he feel if he gets embarrassed in his first fight back?

The only reason Hatton is making a come back is because his promotion company has been dropped by sky and he's on the look out for some publicity.

Saying that though, a 90% firing Ricky Hatton would still beat the most of the contenders at 147.

Would love to see him bring Kell Brook down a rung or 100.

No way; there are at least 5-6 fighters at light welterweight/welterweight that will give Hatton a really hard time. That division is stacked with talent.

Its going to be terrible. He'll end up hand picking someone even I could beat up.

Agreed, no way he will risk being upset by anyone even half decent.

Some punchbag will get pounded for a few rounds.

I think he'll fight and lose to a welterweight prospect from within Hatton Promotions, and subsequently retire for good.

There is literally no possible way he is going to lose his comeback fight.

I'm pretty sure knows he's too old to do anything spectacular and none of the world champs will see him as a meaningful fight. He'll be a newsworthy stepping stone for a HP prospect, getting his fighter and his promotion some well needed exposure and money.

Martinez schooled Chavez for 11 rounds. Then Chavez threw the kitchen sink at him in the 12th, knocked him down but ran out of time to finish him off. That round saved the fight from being a total one sided bore.

Really exciting fight, shame it finished in 4 rounds. Mitchell should have fought less and boxed more.

I'm looking forward to his statement that he'll take some time off to consider his next move.

Impressive win for special k. Looked very focus out there. Still have my doubts and I think khan or hatton would beat him.

No chance. He'd be to accurate for Hatton and he would only have to connected with Khan with one good shot for the fight to be over. He look the real deal last night, picking his shots well and not rushing things. I would have liked for it to get into the middle rounds just to see if the changes he made to his diet/camp have actually made a difference.

I guess we will find out in the next fight against Devon Alexander.
