    Anyway, we'll find out what happened soon enough. Everyone knows SA has a crime problem but what irks me is people over here thinking it's all guns blazing 247.
    I imagine SA to be a demilitarised zone where pedestrians walk around with flaming tyres around their necks.
    Only on Friday nights.

    BBC are reporting that Pistorius has been charged with murder and that bail will be refused because they have several eyewitness accounts of the incident.

    Seems harsh to refuse bail. If they were worried about flight risk, they could have just confiscated his legs.

    Eyewitnesses?
    Wasn't his story that he was sleeping and woke up to see her standing there?
    If he shot her on purpose then that was a pretty ridiculous excuse, surely he'd have seen the other people standing there?

    This morning, when I head she had been shot in the heart and the head, I thought it sounded more like a mob hit than someone shooting at a burglar.

    10.34 A spokeswoman for Pretoria Police has just spoken to reporters, saying that the force is "very surprised" by reports that Pistorius mistook Steenkamp for a burglar and that the notion did not come from the police. She also revealed that police have been called to Pistorius's address before to deal with "domestic incidents".

    @AcidSnake

    From the BBC live feed:

    The officer says: "There have previously been incidents at the home of Oscar Pistorius, allegations of a domestic nature. There are no reports of forced entry or persons on the premises not meant to be there."

    Claims that Pistorius thought his girlfriend was a burglar "did not come from us", she adds.

    I'm looking forward to the inevitable gif of that scene from My Name Is Earl where he's chased by a guy with two leg blades, but with Pistorius' and his girlfriend's face pasted on to the two characters.

    All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

    Before Oscar Pistorius I didn't know disabled people can run. He's also shown me they can kill too. So in a way equality wins.
