@Hoglumps- You can spot (and even capture flags!) in jets too. It took me ages to get any points, my top tip is to use the LT to slow yourself down when doing a strafing run. My other tip is to go for choppers. Once you unlock the heat seekers going for jets is a bit easier too
So hopefully a combination of low speed strafing, spotting and shooting the coptors should get me to that magical 300 points
